Fantastic! At first, I couldn’t figure out what was going on until I saw the word composite. I need to show my husband this layout because he loves to go searching for mushrooms and these are magnificent! Wonderful job putting everything together.
@yellowpeep I have done a number of pages featuring mushrooms that I find on our property. Here is one that I did back in September. If your DH has any idea what either of these mushrooms are, I'd appreciate knowing. I'm pretty much mushroom illiterate.
The mushrooms were very real. They were at the base of a very old burr oak tree (200 years+). The mushroom colony was probably 15" across, possibly wider, and maybe 8-10" tall. It was the color that caught my eye. And within a week or so, they had gone past their prime, leaving just spores in their path. This was part of the art journal challenge for week 4, so DH is not that short, LOL. DH and the street caution sign were made smaller to work into the composite. The yellow flowers in the lower left were also added, possibly made just a tad smaller to work into the page as well.
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! You nailed this challenge perfectly Marilyn!! STUNNING composite, love the 'story' you have told us here using all these wonderful photos!! the blending/masking is perfect, what a wonderfully creative layout you have created here! The added wordart supports your page beautifully as well! again, just WOW!
