Lovely story and congratulations on your achievements. As a side note, I love that you have above the typewriter the classic typist's sentence. I'm guessing only a former typing teacher would center on that. Great title cluster and the lady reading a book truly reflects on the academic world.

My what a fascinating story @marijke and an unusual one. That looks like an IBM Selectric which I had at one time. I never did become much of a typist and I thank god that I'm so much better on a keyboard! To many more years of happy retirement!
