2013 I was a stay at home of three children. Two in school and one at Varsity. My days revolved around my children. Caring for them driving them to their respective activities, making sure we had supper on the table at 6pm most nights. I had to watch the clock and keep track of their schedules. I enjoyed digital scrapbooking, being on a few designers teams. my goal, however was to become a Pollywog for the Lilypad. I loved being available to meet up with friends, I loved our busy somewhat chaotic life.
2026 Finds me at home with hubby, the children are grown and living their lives, two of whom are overseas now. I am a granny, something I always longed for. Life at home is peaceful. About 10 years ago Andrew changed careers from being the CFO to being a Financial Planner working from his office at home. We spend so much more time together. Dinner is still at 6pm and we still eat at the kitchen counter. It's easier now that I am not governed by the clock. I do not need to know when the schools lets out, I don't know when the school holidays are. I love traveling, cruising is simply the best. Andrew's Dad passed away, my Mom passed away, a brother in law, an aunt. I don't see my extended family as often anymore, covid seems to have put paid to that.
I made it on to the Polly team at the Lilypad and that has become my online home. I have stepped down from most of the designers I used to create for because I have fewer photos and it became less fun for me. I adore our new church and love being involved in the inner healing ministry. I am a Chaplain and happy to make a difference in people's lives. I couldn't have dreamt that we would be doing this well.
Your page is beautifully journaled and so beautiful, Stefanie! I am smiling as I see you used Full circle too! I am glad that you are doing fun things and what you want to do now, and that you have more time with Andrew. That is the best. I love how you scrapped this. The color choices of papers and elements to accent are fabulous. I love the then/now photos. Both beautiful! TFS!!!
I love seeing your then and now photos. And even though we miss our children when they grow and embark on building their lives, we find new pleasures in filling our days. Thank you for sharing those little glimpses into you. Beautiful colors for capturing your story and the word strips you've chosen seem just right to go with it.
