11e verjaardag - MOC Nine - Jan 21 - Birthday challenge

The word "verjaardag" is the Dutch word for "birthday"
Since my previous layout didn't meet the requirements, I changed the number and wrote about my brother in laws' birthday last year. It was the day our country went into lockdown and the restaurants closed. We had to cancel all our plans and wanted to celebrate on a later date. Now, almost a year later, it seems like we are still in the same situation.

Your layout is amazing... I'm awed with your numbers and amazing use of paper to allow them all to pop out! Really beautiful!
It's true, we're still in the same state of lockdown almost a year later! In the US a lot of people have "drive by" birthday parties with friends driving by a friends home to wish them the best. The host has balloons and signs saying Happy Birthday in the yard and cupcakes to give to those who stop by to say hello. It's quite a nice way to celebrate and yet stay distanced.

It's crazy, isn't it, how much the world has changed. It sometimes feels like I live in a completely different world.
Oh, I think it's a great idea about the drive by birthday parties. It's a nice thing to do for those who aren't able to celebrate their birthday with their family and friends. I wish people would do something similar over here.
