Journaling:
This photo of Avery and Melaina walking away may
be my favorite photo ever. It was when I discovered
the poignancy of this kind of photo...how it
symbolizes the passing of time. I love the the
tenderness of Melaina holding her little sister’s hand.
I love that they’re wearing
their matching “Hanna Andersson”
dresses. I made either one or
both of them. It is also a trip
back to some halcyon days in
the Boucher family.
So when Zanna sent me this
photo of, now nearly 13-year-old
Avery holding Preston’s hand as
they walked away from the camera,.
It brought tears to my eyes.
So much has changed since 2007,
when that photo was taken, and
so much will change by the time
Preston is 13. These, too, in their
own way, are halcyon days.
Shar- what a beautiful page, and beautiful memory! I am so thrilled that you could scrap this sweet memory and passage of time. Like I have said, it is the little moments that come from photos that just bring us back. I love how you scrapped this and we see how Avery had her hand held in the first photo with her older sister, and is now holding the hand of her younger brother in the second photo.. sweet and as you said, a fabulous passage of time! I love your title work and the nuetral papers and paints so that the photos and the journaling stand out. Thank you for playing along with the July Journaling challenge. Your page is so sweet!
