Bits, Pieces, and Possibly a Side of Rambling
Are you ready for another round of random ramblings and behind-the-scenes tidbits? I thought it might be fun to kick things off with a little peek into my quirky world. Buckle up—this might get a bit weird (but the good kind of weird, promise).
So, here’s the thing about me: I love a good efficient process. Like, truly love. Some people love sunsets, others love tacos… I love streamlined workflows (and sunsets and tacos—but they are second to efficiency). As someone who takes a couple of decent walks each day—accompanied by my favorite doodle ‘“Chewie”, naturally—I’ve turned that time into my mobile office. In case you need a mental visual: I’m out there, earbuds in, dictating emails, brainstorming with tech folks, planning forum posts, and yes, even drafting this very blog. I often wonder what I look like to the casual observer. There I am, mid-stride, having an animated tech discussion to absolutely no one in particular (well, no one they can see). Just me and the dog. He’s so supportive!
Can you believe I’ve officially hit the 90-day milestone in this new role? Ninety days! It’s been a whirlwind of learning, planning, and yes, a few pinch-me moments where I stop and marvel at how much has happened already. I’m still wrapping my head around it all, but it’s been an incredibly rewarding ride so far. I’m still excited as ever to be right here beside you all!!!
Since my last update, we’ve brought on a fantastic new guest designer—Maaike of Pixel Giraffe Designs! If you haven’t seen her work yet, you are seriously missing out. Her designs are full of charm, creativity, and just the right amount of whimsy. Go take a look. Really!!! I’ll wait!!
Okay, now that you’re back, make sure to keep an eye out for more fun updates in the coming days.
A Little Tech Talk
On the tech side of things, we recently completed a server migration to a more secure and upgraded platform. As with any move, there were a few minor hiccups—think of them as the digital equivalent of finding a box labeled “miscellaneous wires” that you forgot you even owned. But overall, things went smoothly, and we’re already seeing the benefits.
There are still a few tech projects simmering on the back burner—early-stage stuff that I’m taking a thoughtful approach to and looking at all the angles. In the meantime, I’ve shared a few tech reminders over in the forum—just some helpful nudges to keep things running smoothly on your end while we do the same on ours.
That’s all for now! Thanks for hanging out with me in this little corner of the internet. I’ll be back soon with more updates, sneak peeks, and probably another story involving me talking to myself on a sidewalk. (It’s fine. The dog gets it.)
