National Fairytale Day!

Ever hear the phrase it had “a fairy tale ending” about a book or a movie? And let’s be honest, we all want one some how some way. I mean, when I walk into TJ Maxx, I want to find the perfect pair of jeans that are cheap and make me look 3 sizes smaller. That’s my fairy tale ending!

I digress.

I grew up loving fairy tales and even read them to my kids. When kid #6 was in preK, I went to his class in an old prom dress from the thrift store, a crown from the dollar store and a book…The Princess and the Pea. I stacked up all the nap mats and layered them with a fluffy comforter. The preschoolers were amazed.

Fairy tales are a type of literature that has fantasy and magical characters. There are fairies, trolls, witches, princes and princesses and they all start with my favorite phrase…”once upon a time.” Throughout history, countries would adapt stories to fit with their culture and traditions.

If you have a fairy tale event that you would like to document, perhaps kits like these at TLP will help you in that journey:  Graffitti SprayEverday Magic kit and Once Upon An Imagination
