Introducing M3 for July!

Polly Liana here with the honor of introducing you to the M3 for July.  For those of you new to the concept, M3 stands for Mixed Media Monthly.   Every month around this time, four of our lovely and talented mixed media designers collaborate on a kit together.  The main kit is designed with three main words in mind and they design with the same palette so everything coordinates perfectly.  The words this month are FESTIVE/SUMMER/ENJOY.  The palette is exactly what you’d expect in summer: bright yellows and fuschias, deep greens and cool blues.  The content is airy and bright, just like summer.  The designers who worked on this kit are Little Butterfly Wings, Lynne-Marie, Paula Kesselring and Dawn Inskip.  Here’s the main kit:

Then, along with the main kit, the designers also offer great add-on kits that coordinate with the main kit but allow the designer to follow a slightly different path or pursue specific ideas/elements in a different way.  Here are some of the add-ons being offered that coordinate with the M3 collection:

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
