Meet Sammy!

Sammy is our little Elf On the Shelf.  Surely you’ve seen the “Adventures Of…” photo albums floating around various Facebook pages and even here in the TLP forum.  This is our first year with an elf… and I have to say, it’s been a lot of fun having him around.  Elf On the Shelf seems to be this year’s “holiday must have” but I’m not sure who ends up enjoying it more, the kids or the parents.

Elf On the Shelf is used by many as an incentive for good behavior from wee little ones in the household.  I was hoping that would be the case in our home.   Unfortunately, our little elf seems to have a mischevious side and my kids are getting more and more excited (and curious) about his antics rather than concerned about what he may be reporting to Santa each night.  Perhaps Sammy should be found in a “time out” chair really soon!

Since the little guy has given us so many laughs over the last week, I wanted to introduce you to him and share his adventures with you.

This is Sammy… say “hi”, Sammy….

Sammy arrived at our house on Dec. 1st and was found sitting high up on a hanging lamp above the kitchen table after we found and read a note from Santa himself explaining why Sammy had come.  I’m thinking now maybe Santa just wanted a break from him.  The first couple of days were good.  Sammy just chilled in our tree, read some magazines, and kept a low profile….

That was…. until he discovered the kitchen!  For the last few nights Sammy has helped himself to our refrigerator, our cabinets, and our counters!  He’s a messy one, that’s for sure, but that smile on his cute face makes it hard to stay mad at him.  (I really can’t wait to scrap all his funny moments!)

Last night Sammy even helped himself to our pantry that I had just stocked with some yummy Rootbeer for the kids and Cheerwine for my husband and me.  Apparently little elves can’t handle such beverages.  Just look at what happened to poor Sammy when he over indulged…

Poor, poor Sammy.  Whatever will Santa say?  No more beer and wine for Sammy.  Please friends, if you drink during this holiday season do so responsibly.  Call a Buddy!

We have many more elves in the forum that have been having their own fun, unique adventures.  We invite you to join along in their journeys and if you have an Elf On the Shelf of your own share his or her adventures with us too!   Elves Welcome HERE!
