Shh... don't tell my hubby but my bamboo is collecting dust in a drawer of my desk. I haven't used it for years. I should try to figure it out again. I wonder if the pen is still there.... hmmm. He and the kids gave it to me for Mother's Day or Christmas or something. I used it for a bit, but never got the hang of it. The mouse was easier. I've been tempted to take over his ipad pro and get an apple pencil. That sounds more fun than figuring out my old bamboo... I wonder if he'd notice???
I do!!! I LOVE my Bamboo and could not be without it. I had so many problems with my wrist and arm hurting with a traditional mouse and it all stopped when I switched to my pen and tablet.
YES!!! I love it! I'm going to remember this. The handwriting is exactly why I wanted my tablet. handwriting, and my own scribbles/doodles for AJ, like Valeria's doodles. I love them. My AJ goal for this year was to learn to use my tablet. It's been in the box since I bought it.... MUST. GET. TO. IT. !!!
Oh I mine! I have been using one for around seven years now and couldn't use a mouse to scrap with anymore! lol! I have mouse but it sits in my laptop bag gathering dust........... I only use it if I am travelling and I don't have room to set up my tablet. I have had Bamboos before (about 3 of them I think) and I bought a Intuous last time and I LOVE the different nibs you can use with it!! I do a lot of artsy type layouts and so using a tablet/pen is just so fabulous when using the brush tool. I am even learning how to actually draw and paint with it too This is a 'painting' I did of an apple in a program called Rebelle..........
Yes!! As an IT trainer for many years this is how I taught a lot of our field guys to use a computer. First lesson was to open Solitaire and just play for 30 minutes to get the hang of using a mouse! You concentrate so much on the game that you forget about 'learning' to use the mouse..................... same idea would apply to the pen/tablet!
I've had a Bamboo for a few years now. Although its always plugged in, I still find that I default to my mouse, unless there's something very detailed that I need to do. Customizing the settings really helps. Jessica Sprague used to have a great course on starting out with a Pen Tablet but I don't know if she still offers it.
It's doesn't look like she does. I think @justjaimee has one that I need to look into! Since I bought that collection of brushes to use with a tablet!!!
My Bamboo has never been out of its box, but it's on my to do list for this month. I started watching training videos about it again. I bought the Wacom paintbrush, which is supposed to simulate a real paintbrush for digital painting. Can't wait to try it out! I have a lot of dynamic brushes, which I can't take advantage of with my mouse. That's a big motivator.
