Howdy everyone! We are starting a speed scrap in the chat room right now! Come on in and join us! I'll post the steps here too! 1. Start with one main photo centered from side to side and above the centerline. (optional --->) I had more photos I wanted to use, so added 3 more photos grouped together in a row, all below the centerline. (<--- these are optional) 2. Under the main photo, add at least 4 pieces of paper so little bits stick out on all sides. If you added additional photos, places pieces of paper under those as well. 3. Add a mostly plain background paper 4. Add some bits of paint or a stamp under each of the photo areas and add one bit of paint or stamp going off the top corner of the page. Add at least one small element on top of the paint in the upper corner. I used a piece of washi tape and 2 tiny banners. 5. Add at least 2 elements on top of the main photo and tuck at least one element between the main photo and the layers of paper. If you added additional photos, add at least 2 elements by those as well. 6. Add a title. If you have more than one word, mix a font and an alpha. I placed my title to the right side of my main photo. 7. Add some journaling under the main photo and be sure to add a date. That's it! Now everyone has until 11:00 pm ET to finish their pages and post them in the Speed Scrap Gallery AND here (so we can leave you love) Here is my layout:
thank you for the chat and instructions! hope I got everything! (added a few extra pieces of journaling, hope that is ok)
Speed scraps are not getting less stressful yet LOL!! Not thrilled with how this one turned out...but maybe I'll go back and fix later.
Super-speedy! I love so much about my final product too. the mix of the dirt (my "paint") and the beads reminds me so much of cleaning out the bottom of the kids duffle bags when they come home from camp. And those charms... too cute. A toonie (for those of you who might not know), is a Canadian $2 coin. At camp, our leaders represented the levels of Government in Canada (I was Prime Minister, other leaders were Premiers (like a Governor), and our "Junior Leader" was a Mayor). The patrols were named after Canadian money. We had Loonies ($1), Toonies, Quarters, Nickles & Dimes. Since Ruth was staying in the Toonies tent, she became, "Mayor Toonie." The Toonie clip art I incorporated into my page was what I actually used at camp to represent their patrol!
Darn, I missed the whole thing, but the layouts y'all made are amazing! Y'all are super star speed scrappers in my book!
Thank you everyone for coming to chat and scrapping along! I was swamped with a work picnic all day yesterday and never got a minute to send out your prizes. They are coming now!
