For this challenge we are going to take the traditional concept of a scrap lift and add a little twist to it. Below you will find 3 beautiful layouts that I have pulled from our gallery. They are each linked so you can click on them to get a closer look. I want you to pick 1 thing from each layout to “scrap lift” then pull it all together for 1 layout of your own. You may be inspired by color scheme, font choices, types of elements used, design, etc…… the list could go on and on. You just need to have 1 thing that inspires you from each of the 3 pages represented on your page. I’ll go first to help you see how it plays out. Here is what I came up with: I was inspired by all the painty goodness in the first layout. I love the softness the lace adds in the second layout so I incorporated some lace behind my photos, and....I love the use of the pocket card in the third layout and how pocket cards are such a great way to help with journaling or title work so I chose to add one in to my layout to help tell the story. Now it's your turn. Can't wait to see what you come up with. There are so many amazing things to inspire you in the layouts I have shared. Enjoy the process! Please follow the Lilypad Gallery Guidelines: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products (current or retired product from current designers; templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed
i love how different all your chosen layouts are - there are so many possible combinations i can see already, can't wait to see what everyone does!
WOW! LOVE the 4 layouts, Amanda! I was inspired by the paint in the first page, by the lace in the second one and by the mothers' day theme on the third
This was a lot of fun!! I love doing split photos like example 1 used, I was drawn to the butterfly in example 2 and I liked how the floral pattern matched the color of her dress in example 3.
I was inspired by the handwritten scribble words in the first layout, the clean background & close up face of the second, & the square photo towards the left of the page with layering in the 3rd inspiration layout.
The grief at the loss of a dear and long-time friend is fresh right now. I wanted to do a layout to honor her so I used this scraplift challenge to do that. I was inspired by the painted papers in layout # 1; by the framed square photo and lace in # 2; by the design of grouping holding the photo (simplified here), the flowers and the strip at the bottom of layout # 3. The butterflies signify the release from the worn-out body and the promise that awaits.
I was inspired by: Layout 1: the paint Layout 2: the tiny frame Layout 3: the layers of pattern papers on the bottom
The picture divided into 3 pieces Having some word art on the bottom right of the page The way the background papers are arranged
this was so fun and very challenging, I was inspired by: From the 1st all the graffiti, paint, artsy style the 2nd: the minimalist photo of baby-mother the 3rd: the cut-out border at the bottom for journalism:
I didn't know if I could handle this one but once I saw that it was a Vinnie Pearce paper in the 2nd one I was set. Layout 1 the stars and the paint, Layout 2 the design of an angled corner, Layout 3 a bold paper
Here is mine. Inspiration: I liked the split photo & paint from layout #1. I went with the clean & simple style (as clean & simple as I get) from layout #2. I liked the bottom border from layout #3.
Such a fun and inspiring challenge! Here be mine... I went with the painty goodness (1st layout) also, flowers (2nd layout) and gold wire title (3rd layout).
I went with the sports theme or the first, by @Joan K : For the second, by @carrie1977 , I liked the crisp shapes and shadowing: And then the orange caught my eye on the third by @IntenseMagic : And here is mine conglomeration of all three: Thanks to each of these talented ladies for the inspiration!
I created an ATC for this challenge. My scraplift inspirations are: “Never Quit” by EllenT – “2017” in an outlined font; “Love” by Mrivas – floral patterned paper; “Waiting for You” by Gabi – small flower in corner
I made this for the June BYOC Challenge but I used this challenge for the inspiration. From the first LO I used colors, stars, paint, stitching, staples & a split photo. From the second I used the bottom and square photos. From the third I used blue with pink flowers plus the mother/child theme. Fun! Thanks for the challenge!
