I have never camped in an unorganized area. Always Provincial or Parks Canada. Have never even considered theft. We leave our camp stove set up for the whole time. (really, who wants to disconnect and reconnect the propane EVERY TIME). I would not worry about the sleeping bags. Electronics and wallets are locked in car, but that's it. But then again, I live in a country where most people keep their doors unlocked while they are at home.

My youngest thought she could plug her phone in somewhere in the forest :lol I asked her all the times we've gone walking in the forest how many times she has seen outlets in the trees hahahaha!

I have camped a LOT in my lifetime and we never worry about the tent or the cots, sleeping bags or air mattresses. I even leave my bag of clothes in the tent most of the time.

The only thing I ever had stolen was a tub of Mackinaw Island fudge that I left (with the lid on) on the picnic table before bed one night. A very fat and happy raccoon made off with the whole thing. I found the tub the next morning licked completely clean. :giggle I was so mad at that raccoon!

That's my favorite part of camping! We love to do remote "rustic" camping where there is no power and NO cell reception! No devices allowed! :) My hubby is as bad as the kids most of the time! Lol!

Exactly!! They can use their devices for photos and that's it while we're out camping! They have a couple of my husbands old work phones that cannot do anything other than apps or Facetime him and a few select friends, but they need wifi connection to do those...not in the forest LOL

We camp with a trailer, so I'm no help. But add me the short list of paranoids. We put everything away and lock it up if we leave our campsite.

We've been camping a lot over the years and never had anything stolen from our campsite. We would stash electronics in the car but that was it.

That makes sense to worry about, but thankfully most camping people wouldn't dare go into someone else's tent or even someone's campsite really. We have done tent camping a few times and although I was leery at first of leaving stuff in the tent, we never had an issue. I hope you have fun!

We haven't been family camping in a while, but this is what we would do. We also camped at a campsite (not a KOA) so everyone else was doing the same thing. I would be more concerned about camping in the open. Thieves are more interested in the big $$ stuff, not camp stoves, mattresses, etc.

We had a lot of fun!! I didn't get nearly as many photos as I was hoping for, I was just too into family time! We did forget to pack the hot dog cooking sticks so had to cook them on the propane stove and no roasted marshmallows either :( It started to drizzle so we moved on of the air mattresses and sleeping bags into the van (the weather app said there was a 40% of rain starting 2 am) so the girls and I slept in there and hubby slept in the tent....it never did rain LOL!!

I no longer fear leaving our belongings alone at the camp while we're out and about!! YAY!!
