awesome @Cristina ... showing the background is a great reason to move towards the edges! and I seriously love the one with all the circle clusters. so fun!
I found a gorgeous example by @scrappydonna where she only uses 1 photo and has lots of clustering coming from her edges! Beautiful!
so delighted to see you spotlighted Kelly!!!!!!!! awesome pages!!!! @jenn mccabe awesome post!!!!!!!!!
I really love this. I am also a center starter so I'm going to try this out to see if I can shake things up on my pages
I've not tried this technique before but it does make for a pretty page! Thank you for sharing this! Got to try it now!
Oh my Gosh! This came up in the feed from yesterday and I started a page to try and utilize this and then I saw your new post about the graphic magazine and was like.. wait.. I'm not done with the first! Then saw the date on this! December 2016!! LOL! Okay, off to try the graphic one! <3
Love all the examples, and your sample page is a stunner Jenn. This really interested me and I looked through my gallery and realised I, too, nearly always start from the middle. I could only come up with a couple of examples where I didn't. I feel like those pages where I worked 'from the sides in' have a certain energy though, so maybe I will have to try this more.
oh wow @LynnG ... your samples for this style of scrapping are SO gorgeous! and the journaling is so fun too! oooh ... maybe a "from the edge out" template set on the horizon from you?
love it! that title and the colors! and the way you linked the photos with the swirly brushes so subtly, you rocked this design technique!
This is an interesting concept and I realized that I almost always start in the middle, too. I'm going to experiment with this idea. LOVE all of the examples!!
It did take more thinking to intentionally start on the edges & work my way in! Will try to use it more often! Can't wait to see your experiments!
I finally tried this concept and am really happy with the outcome. In face, even though this was a template, by Dawn Inskip, the photograph was the last thing I added. I usually start with the picture and work from there, but this time, I didn't even know what photo I was going to use until I got to the photo frame. It's fun to try new things.
It's beautifully balanced Cheryl! I don't think that is an easy thing to do - leaving the photo to the very end. I'm impressed! I pretty much always start with a photo (or maybe an idea and then find the photo right away) too. I love this so much!
You can achieve this look with everything still in the center, but just adding some elements or details to the edges in a big way ... look how @chigirl did this with cut outs falling off the page. pretty cool!
