The Team
Every creative community needs a strong foundation—and this is mine.
What began as a simple idea from a passionate founder—and nurtured through the years by dedicated owner(s)—has grown into something far more meaningful: a vibrant, supportive, ever-evolving space for artists, storytellers, and memory keepers around the world.
I’m proud to carry that vision forward and lead a team of designers, collaborators, and creative thinkers who bring The Lilypad to life every day. From our incredible designers to our powerhouse creative team, we’re all here with one purpose: to inspire, support, and celebrate the joy of storytelling.
Meet the people who make this place feel like home.
I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.
My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.
Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks
And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
I live in the UK with my husband Simon—we’ve been married for 20 years—and I’m lucky enough to be a mummy to two gorgeous little “mini me’s.” Rachel Jefferies Designs fits around our family life, powered by coffee and grounded by green spaces with trees.
I’m inspired by the little stories hidden within everyday moments, and the natural world has a big influence on my creative process. I’m always drawn to what’s raw and real—the imperfect bits. A lot of ideas also come just from playing around in my art studio and seeing where the process takes me.
I tend to start in my sketchbook, creating collage and then painted papers. That initial stage usually inspires background page designs, the overall tone of a kit, and its colour scheme—and then I just go from there. It’s a fun and reactive process that often involves lots of happy accidents… or my muse going off on a tangent all of her own!
My favourite thing to create is a paper that includes faded, blended, and painterly botanicals, along with a combination of hand-painted textures, messy marks, and genuine vintage papers all in one. When I’m designing, my papers can have sooooo many layers before I finally decide to flatten and save them!
In my spare time, I love collage, art and junk journaling, digital scrapbooking, and hybrid crafting—anything that lets me get messy and creative. I’m also a big fan of collecting vintage papers and ephemera for my crafting (definitely more than I need!) and starting more creative projects than I’ll ever finish—oops!
I unwind by watching shows like Severance, MAFS, or whatever reality TV is easiest to binge at the end of a busy day.

With Karen Chrisman Designs, everything starts from a place of joy—usually rooted in family, nature, and the little moments that make up everyday life. Sometimes I sketch out ideas in a notebook, sometimes on my iPad—it just depends on where inspiration strikes.
My style is fun, fresh, and clean. I especially love creating patterned papers. There’s something really satisfying about pulling together color, structure, and flow to make something that brings a whole kit to life.
Outside of design, my world revolves around family. I love being close enough to babysit the grandkids and show up for their recitals and sports events. My husband and I enjoy going on walks and working on home improvement projects together—well… most of the time we enjoy the projects!
With ninigoesdigi, my creative process is often sparked in the most unexpected places. Sometimes it’s the scenery around me, but more often, it’s while I’m driving—when a song lyric or title catches me just right and plants the seed for a theme or kit. Music has a way of stirring up visual ideas, and that’s usually where it all begins.
My style is clean, funky, and cute. I usually start with patterns—those are my foundation and my favorite part to create. From there, I build solids, then move on to pocket cards and elements. Elements take me the longest, mostly because I hesitate, change colors, redo things… typical Libra energy, I guess!
I’m originally from France but have been living in Japan for over 27 years. Photography is something I love, though I’ve admittedly gotten a bit lazy with my camera—my iPhone does a pretty great job these days. I still scrapbook when I can, but design is where I get to pour most of my creative energy.
I’m the creative behind Kim Jensen Designs, where things tend to lean colorful, whimsical, and unpretentious. My process is rarely the same twice, but it usually starts with color and texture—just opening up Photoshop and seeing where the energy takes me.
I’m constantly drawn to the small things: everyday objects, little moments, and the textures that make life feel tactile. I love finding ways to bring that “touchable” quality into digital form—it’s part of what makes designing so much fun for me.
Alphas are one of my favorite things to create. There’s something incredibly satisfying about giving letters personality, shape, and life.
I live in Texas with my husband and our two twenty-something kids. My path here started in telecommunications engineering, shifted into stay-at-home motherhood, and now includes part-time barista work alongside designing. Outside of all that, I enjoy puzzles, playing games on my phone, binge-watching whatever strikes the mood—and like many of us… casually ignoring housework whenever I can.
The creative process behind EHStudios is equal parts memory, mood, and the messy beauty of real life. When I started designing, it was all sparked by song lyrics, quotes, or a single photo. These days, it’s those things—and more. It’s motherhood, healing, and the quiet moments I’m learning to hold onto. Sometimes it’s something I wish I could say out loud, but can only express through art.
There’s rarely a set path in my process. My brain rarely turns off, so it might begin with a thought that won’t leave me alone—until I text it to myself or scribble it in a notebook. Other times it’s paints, paper, my phone camera, or my girls creating beside me that get things flowing. I tend to start with word art (my forever favorite) or papers, but really, it’s just orderly chaos in the best way.
My style? Nostalgic. Eclectic. Deeply personal.
I live with my husband Josh and our two daughters, Emily and Alice. We became a family a little later in life, and I think I treasure it all the more for that. I used to be a full-time photographer before motherhood and the world shifted in 2020. Now I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom doing my best to heal, grow, and show up with love. Some days I get it right. Some days I’m just trying. But that’s me—always trying, and always creating.

The creative energy behind Lynn Grieveson Designs comes from everywhere—old magazines, my background in art history, the beach and forest right outside my door, and the stash of family photos I’ve inherited over the years. I also draw a lot of inspiration from working regularly with Rachel Jefferies; our collaborations constantly spark new ideas.
It always starts with color. I think about the feel and theme I want to express and build a moodboard from there. Then I begin gathering bits—leaves, ribbons, vintage textures—to make prints and elements. I usually create the papers first, then move into messy mixed media, and finally add in dimensional elements to tie it all together.
My favorite part of the process is getting my hands into paints and mixed media—anything slightly vintage and a bit imperfect.
I live in the middle of a forest on a small island, where I wake up before dawn and swim at sunrise before diving into work. Designing takes up most of my time these days, though I’m a former communications professional and photojournalist. I’ve lived and worked across England, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore—and I’ve got the travel photos (and family archives) to prove it. There’s always something waiting to be turned into art.
The creative energy behind Pixel Giraffe Designs comes from just about everywhere—nature, emotions, a gorgeous photo, a splash of color… even a random paper scrap or stain can spark an idea. A lot of what I create is rooted in what I feel or what the people around me are going through. When something hits close to home, it often becomes one of those messy, raw, art journal-style packs. The nature-inspired ones? Still artsy, just a little more put-together.
My style? Organic expressive chaos. And yes, that tracks with how I design. I wish I could say I build moodboards and follow a production calendar, but truthfully, I tend to just… go with the flow. Some days I start by drawing or photographing. Other days, I dive straight into digital. It’s rarely the same process twice—and I’m okay with that.
I live in the Netherlands with my husband, kids, and a bunch of animals. By day I work as a licensed psychologist, and the rest of the time I’m hiking, reading, painting, writing, hoarding supplies I might need someday, or looking for ones I already lost. Also: I cannot do math without breaking into hives, my neighbors are grateful I abandoned music, and there’s almost always paint on my fingers and tea within reach. Basically, I’m just doing my best to look like a grown-up while staying surrounded by creativity.
The spark behind Little Butterfly Wings often starts on Pinterest—my little corner of creative escape. When I need to recharge or get unstuck, I wander through colors, textures, and unexpected ideas until something clicks. There’s no pressure, just play, and that’s usually when the magic starts.
My design process lives entirely on my computer. I begin with a theme that stirs a mood or story, then build out a color palette that captures the vibe I’m after. Once that part feels right, I’m off—layering in the energy of word art, quirky doodles, and my signature girls and dolls. It’s expressive, artsy, and unapologetically me.
At home, I’m a work-at-home mum juggling design deadlines, two boys (one currently deep in a Dragon Ball phase), a very spoiled dog, and three cats who fully believe they run the house. I unwind with Japanese doramas, anime that makes me cry (hi, Violet Evergarden), or a good book—ideally with a cat on my keyboard and a coffee within reach.

As the creative behind Joyce Paul Designs, inspiration comes from the quiet, everyday moments—a walk with my kids, a vintage postcard at a flea market, chipped paint on an old wooden frame, or the way light filters through lace curtains. I’m especially drawn to nostalgic themes and colors that stir up a feeling or memory. My collections often reflect those little fragments of life: messy joy, imperfect beauty, and heartfelt stories.
Ideas usually start swirling in my head—often at the worst times, like when I’m doing dishes! I scribble thoughts in a notebook or snap quick photos on my phone, but most of the magic happens digitally. I love experimenting with scanned textures, vintage ephemera, and layered papers and paints until something just clicks.
I always come back to messy, artsy papers and quirky little embellishments that bring personality to a page. I’ve also got a soft spot for stitched details, worn textures, and anything that looks like it’s been loved.
I’m a single mom of three amazing kids and live in the Netherlands. Life is a balancing act of motherhood, creativity, and finding joy in the chaos. I’ve been designing since 2006 and have made lifelong friends through this journey. When I’m not creating, I’m usually cheering on my kids at football games, chasing our pet bunny, or curled up with a cup of tea and a cozy series.

At Lynne-Marie, my process is rooted in nature, emotion, and a love of all things vintage. I find inspiration in the world around me—old fabrics and wallpaper patterns, the way colors shift in nature, and especially in words that stir emotion. That feeling often sets the tone for everything I create.
I usually begin in my sketchbook, mapping out ideas before diving into research or collecting materials to bring the vision to life. Painted clusters and artsy bits are my favorite things to make—and to scrap with—because they add so much depth and soul to a page.
My style? Natural, artsy, and inspirational.
Outside of design, I enjoy gardening, home decorating, and music. Music has been a shared passion between me and my husband since the beginning. We’ve sung together in professional recordings and concerts, and he brings it all to life in our home studio with piano and production. Creativity is a constant in our home—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

At Grace in Color, my inspiration always begins with—well—color. Bright, vibrant hues make me happy, and I often find creative sparks in the world around me: busy streets, bold fabrics, intricate tapestries, or even a quirky shop sign. I’m also deeply inspired by my faith and what I’m reading or studying—especially the Bible. As a visual learner, I love seeing spiritual concepts come to life on a journal page, in a scrap layout, or through a doodle.
My process usually starts on the computer, but I still love grabbing my iPad or sketchbook for some freehand drawing. Most often, it’s a story or a message I want to share that guides what I create. Doodles and hand-drawn illustrations are my favorite things to make—they’re a colorful reflection of both my faith and my personality.
My style? Colorful. Doodly. Faithful.
I’m a pediatrician, the wife of a pastor, and a mom to four incredible kids—plus one daughter-in-love and two sweet grandbabies. In the margins of life, I choreograph high school musicals, write Bible studies, and try to live out the joy I hope to pour into every design.
I live in Wisconsin with my amazing husband, Abderrazzak. We’ve built a beautiful life together with our three kids—Bianca, Kai, and Asia—and our adopted daughter Alex, who made me a grandma to two wonderful grandbabies, Cassity and Lachlan. My service dog, Patience, is also a huge part of our everyday rhythm and keeps me grounded in more ways than one.
When it comes to scrapbooking, my style is definitely messy, all-over, and heartfelt. I pull inspiration from the life we live—little moments, big feelings, and the stories that unfold along the way.
I love using journaling blocks to help capture those emotions, and I do most of my work in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. They’re my go-to tools for translating memories into something meaningful.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, my advice is simple: scrap what you love. Don’t be afraid to try new styles or ideas. Let it be yours—and most of all, have fun with it.
I’m a retired IT trainer living in beautiful Tasmania with my partner of 40 years and our four lively foxy terriers. I discovered digital scrapbooking in 2008 and have never looked back. Outside of that, I love photography, reading, gardening, and getting messy in my art journals with real paints, glue, crayons, and pencils.
My style is best described as artsy, mixed media, and deeply rooted in art journaling. I find creative inspiration in so many places, but nature is at the heart of it all—whether it’s the flowers and birds in my garden, the peaceful rhythm of the sea, or the calm of a rainforest surrounded by trees.
Some of my favorite tools include brushes, mixed media elements, paint, stitching, and lots of transfers and stamping. I love texture and layers, and anything that adds dimension to a page.
If you’re just starting out, find a scrapbooking style you’re drawn to and use it as a jumping-off point. Try changing the topic or playing with color—make it your own. Most of all, enjoy the process and have fun with it.
I’m English, a Christian, and a mother to three young people who are learning to fly solo. I’m also neurodiverse, and creativity is one of the ways I process the world around me. I love working with all kinds of materials—textiles, paper, and paint—and blending them into my creative projects.
My scrapbooking style is story-centric. It’s all about documenting real life—my family, the world around me, and the meaning behind the moments.
I work primarily in Affinity, which gives me the freedom and flexibility I need when crafting my pages.
If you’re just starting out, my biggest encouragement is: join this fabulous community! Ask for help, explore freely, and learn with us as you grow.
Life’s been shifting lately, and our family dynamic has changed—we recently became grandparents! We’re loving this new season of spoiling the grandkids, adjusting to an empty nest, and figuring out what it means to have the house to ourselves. It’s a sweet kind of freedom, even if we do wish we lived a little closer to family.
My creative style is semi-traditional, painty, and usually a bit clustered. I typically start with a photo or a kit and let the layout evolve from there. When I’m looking for extra inspiration, I turn to the gallery, Instagram, or Pinterest to see what catches my eye.
Going digital was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. These days, I can’t imagine scrapping without Photoshop Creative Cloud, my go-to templates, and the shadow styles I use on pretty much everything.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, don’t be afraid to ask questions—this is such a welcoming community, and I’m always happy to help! And truly, embrace scraplifting. You can learn so much by studying someone else’s layout and making it your own.
When I’m not scrapping, I’m probably trying to convince someone to play a game with me. I’ll take any board or card game my family’s willing to play—Skyjo, Rummikub, Quixx, Sequence, Five Crowns, Mantis… the list goes on. And any time I get a quiet house to myself, I’m living for the 6 S’s: Sleepin’ in, Scrappin, Snacks, Shows, Solitude, and Silence.

I was born and raised in Hawai’i, now living on the East Coast, I’ve been married nearly 20 years and have two awesome daughters. I’ve spent over 30 years in the classroom as a teacher and also run my own photography business. I love walking in the woods, making beautiful things, and laughing my butt off—preferably all in the same day.
My creative style is vibrant, fun, and just the right amount of snarky. As a photographer, I’ve learned to find beauty in the ordinary, and that definitely shows up in my scrapbooking. On The Lilypad, I’m constantly inspired by the community—especially layouts that evoke joy. There’s nothing better than scrolling the gallery and feeling that spark to create something of my own.
I’m totally hooked on templates. Starting from scratch can be overwhelming, so templates help me visualize the page and jumpstart the process. I also rely on shadow styles that I tweak as needed—they’re a big time-saver.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, my biggest piece of advice is this: print your stuff out. I’ve been making books for years, and my kids still look through them all the time. I leave them out in our living room, and guests flip through them too. Your work is meant to be appreciated—so let it be seen. And don’t forget to share your pages in the gallery! We love following along with your life and celebrating your creativity. This is a global, joyful, and delightfully supportive community—and there’s always room for more.

I’ve been married to my husband for 19 years, and we have two amazing daughters, ages 15 and 17. We’re also proud pet parents to three cats and a guinea pig. As an active duty military family, we’ve moved seven times in the past 17 years—hopefully we’re heading into our final assignment before retirement! We’re looking forward to finally settling down, traveling often, and making a ton of new memories together.
Creatively, I’d describe my style as eclectic, maximalist, and clustery. I tend to draw direct inspiration from the products I’m using—especially templates—but when I’m in a creative funk, I love browsing Instagram, Pinterest, or galleries from some of my favorite scrappers. There’s so much talent out there, and it always gives me a spark.
Templates are hands-down my favorite tool. They take the guesswork out of the design process and are super easy to modify to match your own style. I’m also a big fan of keyboard shortcuts—they seriously speed things up and give me more time to enjoy the creative part of scrapping.
If you’re just getting started, my best advice is to be patient. It takes time to develop a style, but the more you create, the more confident you’ll become. Scrapbooking is one of those things that evolves with you. There are endless resources to learn from—and a big, welcoming community here to support and encourage you every step of the way.
I live in a small village by the sea in southern Sweden with my husband, our dog and cat, and a love for all things crafty. We have two adult daughters, and I work full-time as an administrative officer at the Swedish Forest Agency. Life is full, and I often wish I had more time to create everything swirling around in my head.
My scrapbooking style? Honestly, it’s a little all over the place—but that’s part of the fun. I create all my pages, whether digital or hybrid, on my iPad using Affinity Photo. When I’m working on hybrid layouts, I reach for my trusty little Fiskars scissors—I love fussy cutting!
Pinterest is my go-to for inspiration, but the Lilypad gallery is also a fantastic place to scroll and get those creative sparks flying.
If you’re ever feeling stuck, try scraplifting someone whose style you love. It’s a great way to learn and evolve your own approach. But don’t fall into the comparison trap—even when you’re drawing from others, your voice is uniquely yours, and it’s just as valid and valuable as anyone else’s.
I live in Arizona with my husband, Gary, and when I’m not busy with my day job as a lawyer, you’ll usually find me lost in one of my many hobbies—photography, scrapbooking, journaling, reading, planning, or tackling a new DIY project around the house.
My creative style is eclectic, colorful, and often hybrid. I work both digitally and hands-on, so my essential tools include my computer with Photoshop, my Silhouette Cameo cutter, and—of course—my camera, which helps capture the memories I love to scrap.
Inspiration is everywhere for me. I’m constantly drawn to other creators and artists, and I save ideas to revisit when I finally have time to sit down and create.
If you’re just starting out, it might sound cliché, but enjoy the journey. Don’t pressure yourself to be perfect. Start with the basics, take your time, and let yourself grow as you learn new techniques. Creativity should always feel like a joy, not a test.

I’m married to my best friend, and together we have three awesome kids. Most of my free time is spent cheering them on at sporting events, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, playing board and card games, or—let’s be honest—just enjoying some time laying in bed.
My scrapbooking style is colorful, minimal, and a little random. I draw inspiration from my photos, memories, and the world around me. My go-to tools are my laptop, GIMP, templates, and my cutting machine—they make the process smooth and fun.
If you’re just getting started, my biggest tip is simple: have fun with it. Don’t overthink—just create.
I live in the south of Germany with my husband and our three almost grown-up sons. One of them plays baseball—which is a rare sport here—and I love watching his games. Outside of family life, I enjoy photography and sewing whenever I can find the time.
My scrapbooking style is clean and simple. These days, I don’t look for inspiration before creating a layout—I focus on building in my own style. But I still find joy and ideas everywhere online, especially in the TLP gallery. I’ve been a Pollwog for a long time, and being part of this creative community has shaped how I approach memory keeping.
As a digital scrapper, I keep things pretty minimal when it comes to tools. I use Photoshop on my laptop, and I like to explore additional programs for photo editing—I love “playing” with my pictures to bring out the emotion in a layout.
If you’re just starting out, a great place to begin is by browsing the gallery. Find a layout that speaks to you and try scraplifting it—it’s such an easy, low-pressure way to learn. Or use a template to get your ideas flowing. Either way, start simple and enjoy the process.
I live in South Florida with my husband and our two fur babies, along with three neighborhood kitties I’ve unofficially adopted and feed daily. I’m a tech-lover at heart and also enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and queuing up my favorite music—usually George Strait or Depeche Mode. I’m a BYU grad with a degree in Political Science, but creativity has always been part of my world.
My scrapbooking style is layered, textured, and vintage. I’m drawn to rich details—patterned paper, digital gesso, ephemera, ribbon, lace, buttons, butterflies, and quirky animal characters all make their way into my pages. I work in Photoshop CC and love incorporating fonts, brushes, and stamps to add depth and meaning to my designs.
I find inspiration in the beautiful pages shared in galleries and on Facebook. There’s something about seeing what others create that sparks fresh ideas for me.
If you’re hesitant to try digital scrapbooking—don’t let fear hold you back. I didn’t expect to love it either. I was a die-hard paper scrapper until I gave digital a try, and I quickly realized it’s exactly where I was meant to be.
I’m from Germany and retired, living with my husband in a small village in the Palatinate. We spend lots of time in nature and love organizing our days just the way we like them—no stress, no pressure, just a relaxed pace. We’re living our dream, and I hope it lasts for a very long time. Also, for the record, I’m addicted to caffeine—and the phrase “it’s not appropriate at your age” absolutely does not apply to me.
My scrapbooking style is clear, minimalist, and full of white space. I’m drawn to calm compositions with subtle detail. My favorite tools include a white background, delicate accents like flowers and stamps, and of course, Photoshop.
For inspiration, I love scrolling through Instagram, Facebook groups, and the galleries across different forums. There’s always something fresh to spark an idea.
My best advice for anyone starting out? Find your own personal style—but try everything along the way. Think outside the box. Art doesn’t have rules, and that’s exactly what makes it powerful.
I live in southern Alberta with my husband, our daughter, and three dogs. Life here is full—between games, entertaining friends, and running my small jewelry business, there’s always something going on. I love spending time outdoors, hiking with my pup and photographing local wildlife and landscapes. Evenings usually involve Netflix binges or a few rounds of online mahjong to unwind.
My scrapbooking style is mixed media and artsy—layered, textured, and sparked by color and composition. I’m drawn to digital galleries, magazines, Pinterest, Instagram, and art design in general. Inspiration is everywhere once you start looking.
Some of my favorite tools include masking (so versatile!), mixed media stamps, and overlays. They add dimension and personality to every page.
If you’re new to digital scrapbooking, don’t be afraid to try something new—whether it’s your own idea or a scraplift. There are no limits to your creativity, so experiment freely and find the style that feels most like you.

I’m a high school special education teacher living with my husband, our youngest son, two dogs, and two cats. I have two grown children with families of their own, six wonderful grandchildren, and plenty of fur grandbabies too. Summer is my favorite season, the beach is my happy place, and—fingers crossed—retirement isn’t too far off!
My scrapbooking style is eclectic, rustic, and mixed. I’m constantly inspired by the creativity in the gallery—there are so many talented scrappers with such a wide range of styles. The inspiration truly never runs dry.
My favorite tools are great templates, neutral backgrounds, and botanical elements, all pulled together in Photoshop to give my pages warmth and personality.
If you’re new to scrapbooking or feeling stuck, join a community. Connecting with other scrapbookers or crafters for support, challenges, and inspiration can completely transform your creative process—and help you reach your goals along the way.
My husband and I have three sons, and they’re the heart of most of my scrapbook pages. By day, I’m an insurance nerd in a senior role at a Fortune 100 company—where, believe it or not, I actually get to flex some creative muscles designing PowerPoint presentations.
My scrapbooking style is creative, layered, and fun. I find inspiration just about everywhere, but especially within this incredible community—the talent here constantly sparks new ideas.
Photoshop and Lightroom are my go-to tools for bringing everything together. They give me the flexibility I need to explore and experiment.
If you’re just starting out, don’t be afraid to dive into your program and try new things. The more you explore, the more your creativity will grow.
I’ve been married to my darling husband for 56 (mostly wonderful!) years, and together we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and joy. We have two amazing daughters, two wonderful sons-in-law, and two photogenic grandchildren who—lucky for me—are still happy to pose for Grandma’s camera. I love to travel, read, take photos, and scrapbook the memories that matter most to our family.
Photos are at the heart of everything I create. They’re what spark my creativity and guide how I choose from new designer releases each week. I also find inspiration in the gallery—it’s a treasure trove of fresh ideas and creative energy.
My style is grungy, eclectic, and always photo-centric. I work in Photoshop and love using fabulous kits from our Lilypad designers, plus warped shadows, string, and thread (they really do tie those clusters together—ha!).
One tip I always share: proofread carefully before printing! It may not be glamorous, but it’ll save you time, frustration, and the cost of reprinting later.
I’ve been married for nearly a quarter of a century and have two awesome kiddos currently off at college. I’m a bit of a hobby collector—I love learning new things and trying out creative projects. Right now, some of my favorite pastimes include painting, art journaling, making hand-bound books, crocheting, and reading. In the past, I’ve also dabbled in stained glass, cross stitch, knitting, printmaking, and sewing—if it’s artsy, I’ve probably given it a try!
My scrapbooking style is messy, full, and journaling-heavy. I usually start with my photos and the stories behind them, but sometimes a kit is so fun and colorful that I’ll go find a photo just so I can scrap with it. Bright, vibrant kits always draw me in.
Photoshop is my home base when I scrap. I especially love working with shadows on separate layers so I can warp them for a more realistic effect. The pen tool is another favorite—it helps me create text boxes that fit any shape or space. And templates? I absolutely cannot scrap without them.
If you’re new to all this, remember: Ctrl-Z is your best friend. And more importantly—be brave enough to suck at something new. That’s how the magic starts.
My husband and I love good food and travel, so a lot of our free time is spent exploring new places and flavors. Beyond that, I have a long (and ever-growing!) list of hobbies. Digital scrapbooking was my first creative outlet, and since discovering it over 15 years ago, I’ve added watercoloring, nail art, knitting, and more to the mix. One day, I dream of retiring just so I can finally have time for it all!
My scrapbooking style is colorful, spontaneous, and eclectic. Most of my inspiration comes directly from the products at The Lilypad—there’s something about a beautiful kit that immediately sparks a memory and gets me scrapping.
I love using brushes to add texture and depth, mixing in vibrant patterned papers and word art to pull it all together.
To me, scrapbooking is more than a creative hobby—it’s scrap therapy. It’s a way to preserve memories, process life, and find joy in the little things. If you’ve never tried it, I encourage you to give it a shot. You never know where it might lead.
I live just south of Sydney, Australia, with my husband, our two teenagers, and three birds. I’ve been digitally scrapbooking for nearly 20 years, and a regular at The Lilypad since 2010. Creativity has been a constant companion—but not always a tidy one.
My style? Anything and everything. I don’t really box myself in. Inspiration tends to show up everywhere—except maybe under the lounge when I’m vacuuming, or under the kitchen sink. But I can almost always count on finding it in my photo folders, my favorites list, the shop, or the Challenge Pad. Honestly, time is more of an issue than inspiration!
Photoshop has long been my go-to digital tool, though we have a bit of a love/hate relationship. After many years with CS6, I’ve started trialing other programs too. My ergonomic mouse is a game changer (trackpads and I don’t get along), and in terms of digi products, I’m all about templates, mixed media, patterned papers, and word art—though I never would have guessed I’d love mixed media this much five years ago!
If you’re new to scrapbooking (or any creative hobby), the best advice I can give is: jump in and have a go. Most of us learn by doing, and yes—that means some frustration, a few mistakes, and definitely a learning curve. But if you push through the messy parts, there’s so much joy waiting on the other side. And if it ever feels like the frustration is winning, vent in the forum—we’ve all been there, and someone will always show up to help, or at least sympathize and cheer you on.
I’ve been married for 22 years and am a proud mom to four kids—ages 20, 18, 14, and 12. We live in the mountains, where I love to hike, volunteer, and soak in the beauty around us. I’ve also got plans to start grad school soon, so life is full in the best kind of way.
My scrapbooking style is colorful, structured, and centered around the stories I want to tell. Looking through my completed scrapbook albums always inspires me—it never fails to remind me why I keep creating.
Photoshop Elements is my go-to software, and I absolutely love using templates. They give me a great starting point and help me stay focused on what matters most: the story.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, my best advice is this—don’t put too many rules on yourself. Do what makes you happy. That’s where the real magic happens.
I live in the Midwest USA with my husband, our two dogs, and a growing family—we’re in the “adding in-laws” phase now, with one child married and another getting married soon. It’s a new chapter, and I’m loving the richness it brings to our family story.
My scrapbooking style is traditional, layered, and grounded in storytelling. I find inspiration in all kinds of unexpected places—advertisements, interior design, nature, travel, and pop culture. The gallery is also one of my favorite spaces for learning and creative fuel.
I use Photoshop CC along with Totally Rad for photo editing, and I’ve learned to save my favorite shadow settings as styles so I can reuse them without starting from scratch. Shadows are such a big part of making pages feel real—paying attention to how paper and elements behave in the real world has helped me improve my digital shadowing. I also use text paths for journaling so I can freely adjust fonts and sizing without reworking everything—because I journal a lot, and flexibility matters!
If you’re looking to level up your scrapping, work on your shadow game. It’s one of the most powerful tools for adding depth and realism to your pages.

I live in the southern part of The Netherlands with my boyfriend of nearly 17.5 years—we’re both originally from the north. We don’t have kids or pets (by choice), and we’re passionate about travel. Our home is also filled with around 800 books, so you could say reading is a serious hobby, too. I love pub quizzes, board games, music, and a good TV binge. I work in IT at a university, even though I studied tourism—definitely a bit of a 180!
My scrapbooking style is playful, structured, and thematic. I usually start with the photo—it’s all about preserving the memory and the feeling of the moment, whether it’s a place or the people I care about. Challenges are a big motivator for me, and I find a lot of inspiration in graphic design, art, and especially typography. I’m completely obsessed with fonts, and they often spark layout ideas all on their own.
Photoshop is my go-to tool, and I love making my own cutouts or custom titles. Good organization tools for my photo and scrap stash are also essential—they save me so much time and make creating more fun.
For anyone just starting out, I always say: start with the story you want to tell in a photo, and let everything else—colors, elements, layout—support that. It helps cut through the overwhelm and brings the focus back to what matters most.
I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have two boys—now officially young men (still trying to figure out how that happened so fast!). We also have two black labs who are total furbabies and make frequent appearances in my scrapbook pages. I love reading, playing Lego video games, and supporting my family in all the things they love.
My scrapbooking style is full-page, photo-centric, and cluster-heavy. I’m very much a memory keeper, so I always start with the photos—then I choose a template that helps tell the story and showcase the images in the best way possible. Most of my inspiration comes straight from our family’s activities and everyday moments.
Some of my favorite tools include templates, shadow styles, subtly patterned papers, foliage, and flowers. I love adding just the right touches to give depth and dimension to my pages.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, don’t be afraid to experiment with your program. There are so many powerful features built in now, and once you get the hang of them, they can really streamline your process—and make scrapping even more fun.

I have four grown children and three grandsons who keep life full and joyful. In my free time, I love listening to audiobooks, playing volleyball, and spending every other weekend in a Dungeons & Dragons campaign with a great group of friends. I also recently earned my substitute teaching license and have really enjoyed working with elementary students—it’s been such a fun and rewarding new adventure.
My scrapbooking style leans toward variety, grunge, and creative expression. I find inspiration mostly on Pinterest and through Scraplifting Challenges—those give me a structure to start with, and then I get to add my own creative twist. I also enjoy browsing galleries to see different styles and techniques that spark ideas.
Digitally, I love using frames, paint splatters, and masks. When I’m working with paper, my cutting machine is one of my favorite tools for crafting.
If you’re just getting started, my best advice is simple: open your program and start creating. You can do so much even with just your beginner supplies—don’t wait for perfection, just play and explore!
I’m happily married to my dear husband of many years and now enjoying retirement. I love to read, take photos, and spend time creating meaningful memories through scrapbooking and storytelling.
My style blends artsy techniques with heritage-inspired themes and clean design. I find inspiration in both the photos I’m working with and the kits or products that help bring those memories to life.
I use Photoshop CC, and some of my favorite tools include masking, brush work, and shadows. I especially enjoy experimenting with blend modes—they add subtle depth and artistic flair to my pages.
For anyone just beginning, my advice is to simply enjoy the process. Learning your program and developing your creative style is a journey, not a race. And take lots of photos—you never know when a small moment will become a treasured memory.
I’ve been married to my husband, Andrew, for 37 years, and we’re now happy empty nesters. Our three grown children are out in the world, thriving and living well. At home, we share life with our three Siamese cats and a shared love of travel. We’re also excited to welcome a new addition to the family—a grandbaby on the way!
My scrapbooking style is traditional and photo-heavy. I’m a visually inspired creator, and I find most of my inspiration in the Lilypad gallery. I usually kick off each month with the challenges—they push me in new directions and often lead to pages I never would have created on my own.
I work in Photoshop Elements and rely on tools I love—like One Little Bird’s drop shadow set (used on every layout!) and styles from Mommyish.
If you’re just getting started, find what lights you up—whether it’s a photo, a story you want to tell, or a new product that excites you. Even if you begin by scraplifting pages you love, over time you’ll uncover your own creative voice and style.
I’m a born-and-bred Kiwi with a Canadian twist—proud to be a dual citizen of both countries. I started out in card making, then moved into traditional paper scrapping before eventually going all-in with digital. These days, you’ll find me fully immersed in the digital side of the hobby, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My scrapbooking style is clean with an artsy twist. I rely heavily on templates and styles—I honestly wouldn’t know how to scrap without them! I’m constantly inspired by new kits and love scraplifting ideas I find in the gallery, on Pinterest, or Instagram. There’s always something fresh to try.
Outside of scrapping, I’m passionate about disability, access, and inclusion, and I hold a degree in Disability Studies. I’m also an only child with a very tiny family, so community and connection matter deeply to me.
If you’re new to digital scrapbooking, don’t be afraid to experiment. That’s the beauty of digital—you can always hit Ctrl+Z.

I’m from New Jersey and live with my husband, Peter, our two sons, Shayne and Colin, and our furry pup, Benson. We’re a little crazy, a little funny, and a very close-knit bunch. I love live music, reading, good food (lol), and of course—scrapping. I’m drawn to sunsets, summertime, and anything in my favorite color: blue.
My scrapbooking style is clean, simple, and traditional. The kits I work with often spark a memory or bring a photo to mind. Sometimes it’s just a word or a burst of color that reminds me of a story I want to tell. It all comes back to connection.
Photoshop is my go-to tool—no surprise there!
If you’re new to scrapbooking, or even if you’ve been doing it a while, give yourself a break. We all scrap differently, and we’re all artists in our own way. There’s always something new to learn—and always room for your voice.

I live with my husband and five indoor cats, and we also care for several neighborhood cats. One of our furbabies has special needs, so while we used to travel more, these days we stick to local day trips that are easier to manage. If you spot a cat-themed layout in the gallery, there’s a good chance it’s one of mine!
My scrapbooking style is quirky, clustery, and artsy. I find inspiration everywhere—from galleries to social media. There are just so many creative people out there, and their work never fails to spark new ideas.
I absolutely love templates. They make it easy to build a beautiful layout without having to overthink the structure, which leaves more room for creative fun.
If I could offer one piece of advice, it’s this: don’t be too hard on yourself. Technology can be frustrating, and your art won’t always look the way you pictured it—and that’s okay. Create for yourself, not for others. The joy is in the process.

I’m a Filipina crafter living in Saudi Arabia, married to my high school sweetheart, and mom to one daughter. When I’m not scrapbooking, you’ll usually find me reading or watching mystery crime shows, sci-fi, or anything involving witches, wizards, wolves, or vampires. Basically—if it’s magical or mysterious, I’m in.
My scrapbooking style? Eclectic, I guess. I find inspiration pretty much everywhere. I used to take photos of things that sparked an idea, and I still jot down creative thoughts when they pop into my head. These days, I mostly turn to Pinterest, Instagram, and my old paper layouts to get the ideas flowing.
My computer and mouse are my main tools—and honestly, that’s about all I need. If you’re just starting out, here’s my top tip: learn how to use a drop shadow. It makes a huge difference and will instantly level up your pages.

I’m a mom of four—ages 24, 22, 20, and 9—and a physiotherapist in real life. I love spending time with my family and enjoying the comfort of home, but I’m also happiest out on the paddleboard or hiking the beautiful trails around my hometown.
My scrapbooking style leans artsy and minimal-ish, but I don’t box myself in too tightly. I find inspiration all over the place—other scrappers, advertisements, my kids, and nature all spark ideas in different ways.
My laptop is my creative hub, and I like to keep things simple when it comes to tools.
If you’re new to scrapbooking, my advice is: try all the styles. Explore until you find what resonates with you. And remember, you don’t have to fit into any one category—your creativity is yours to define.

Anything and everything. That’s how I’d describe my style—bold when it needs to be, clean and structured when it wants to be, and always a little bit curious. I love color, patterns, and the way pretty papers can spark an idea before I even know where it’s going. Maybe it’s because I’m a cardmaker too, but paper has always had a bit of a hold on me.
Inspiration comes from all over: fashion with sharp tailoring, a crisp color palette, even dancing shoes (yes, really). I think the things we love sneak into our creative work whether we plan it or not—and I’m totally fine with that.
Photoshop is my go-to, and if I could give one tip to new crafters, it would be: get a shadow pack. Trust me, my pages were so flat in the beginning. A kind soul showed me the magic of shadows, and I haven’t looked back. Use what works. No shame in that game.
I’m English, now living in Tampa with my hubby and our cat, Clint Catwood. I quilt, I make cards, and I’m trying to master garment making (progress pending). I’m a new-ish cruiser—completely hooked—and I’ve recently fallen in love with gardening. I also love food outings with my friends, dancing in my closet in my favorite shoes, and traveling far and wide with my husband for a good DJ set. Creating is just part of who I am—and I’m always finding new ways to bring a little joy into the mix.

I’m all about memory-keeping that feels meaningful and fun—whether it’s a pocket page, a hybrid card, or a layout packed with photos. My style leans toward hybrid, pockets, and multi-photo storytelling. I love pulling inspiration from the colors and elements in digital kits, letting them guide the feel of a layout. When I’m making cards, I always think about the person I’m creating for and make sure it reflects what they love.
Templates were a huge help when I was starting out, and honestly, they still are. They save time and make it easier to focus on the story or the design without overthinking it. I use Photoshop, Lightroom, and a steady stash of templates for digital scrapping. For hybrid projects, my favorite tools are my Misti, Epson Ecotank printer, and paper trimmer.
Outside of crafting, my favorite thing is traveling with my husband and son. Whether the three of us are off exploring another country or my son and I are backpacking through national parks, we’re usually on the move. Give me adventure over jewelry or clothes any day.
Creative inspiration finds me in everyday life—sometimes in a moment of quiet, sometimes in the middle of a walk or a good book. I don’t follow any specific scrapbooking style. I simply go with what feels right in the moment. I love texture and detail: stitches, threads, beads, splatters—those are the bits I’m most drawn to.
My husband and I live in a small rural town in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, surrounded by green fields and fresh air. Since retiring seven years ago, I’ve been enjoying the things that bring me peace: photography, cooking, hiking, reading, scrapbooking, and traveling when we can. The best part of life now is time with the people I love—especially my two wonderful grandchildren, Ada-Noor and Onno.
Most of my creative spark comes from the little things—nature, everyday moments, photographs, and just noticing life as it unfolds. My style leans clean and simple, always rooted in storytelling. Whether I’m working digitally or on a hybrid project, I love pairing soft, textured papers with small details like sequins, word art, or tiny florals.
I’m a firm believer in not overthinking it. Pick a photo you love, add a few elements, and if the words don’t come easily, just start with the basics—who, what, when, where, and why. Sometimes it’s the simplest pages that tell the most honest stories.
When I’m not scrapbooking, you’ll usually find me outside—on a trail, in my garden, or soaking up the sun at the beach or in the mountains. I tend to over-plan and under-perform, but I’m learning to care more about how something feels and less about how it looks to others.
Most days, you’ll find me at home with my husband—we’re both retired and happy to be homebodies. Our son lives nearby and drops in once a week for dinner and a movie, which is one of my favorite rhythms of the week.
When I scrap, I’ve usually got three monitors going, a cold Monster within reach, and a show playing on my tablet. I lean into clusters and play with every style that catches my eye, often pulling inspiration from gallery browsing. I’m a big believer in the power of shadowing—it brings a page to life. My scrapping setup might look a little chaotic, but it works, and it makes me happy.
