This hit a nerve for me!
DH just went to a new barber and got a great cut and I keep telling him I am jealous and annoyed because I went to a new hairdresser for the second time and she gave me what I think of as an 'old lady's haircut'.
I went with pics of what I wanted for the first time and I was really happy, but clearly she forgot the brief second time around

. Just a subtle difference but ...
It's difficult because there are very few options on the island where I live, and I was getting sick of losing an entire day and spending $$$ travelling on the ferry to the mainland and then on a train to my old hairdresser who was, probably unsurprisingly, both expensive and very good.

.
I'm also experimenting with stopping colouring my hair because of the time and expense, so a good sharp cut is even more important to me.
Do you style your hair everyday?
Ha ha ... nope .. which is a large part of my problem. I swim in the sea every morning and I can't abide swim caps (give me a headache) so I run my fingers through it when I get up, then it gets full of salt and goes wild. If I am leaving the house for anywhere other than the beach, I'll brush it
How often do you get it cut?
I now plan to get a trim about every 8 weeks or so. Saving money and time by not getting it coloured anymore, but I may renege and get some highlights. I expected I'd be pure white by now like my mum and gran but sadly it looks like I take after my Dad who is only just going significantly grey now ... at 90!
Have you worn your hair the same for a while? or How often do you change it up?
I've had a blonde bob for several years, but living on the island and swimming every day means it usually more like a curly, brassy surfer head as seen in my profile pic. Dunno about my next move
