I started school again today. And I'm laughing. Because I have a half pringles can full of pens and pencils and still couldn't find the one I wanted!

Which made me realize that my pen addiction is a little out of control again!

How about you? Are you a picky pen/pencil person? I love a good fine tip, preferably purple or navy blue. Although, R.S.V.P. pens have been some of my favorites for years! Especially their fine tip.

Munchkin? He prefers the smelly pencils to do his schoolwork.

Funny! While I'll use just about any pen I can get my hands on- I do have a favorite- they are Uniball Signo gel pens in the fine tip I think. We have them at work & I always end up with a few in my pocket on my way home! ;) whoopsie! My hubby brings home buckets of pens all the time from work- but they are the traditional ballpoint & I hate them! lol! When my daughter's school supply list said 10 ball point pens- I refused to buy her any & told her to take some daddy's Numerica CU pens he's brought home! She wasn't terribly pleased with me!

I have just a couple of favorite pens. I really love the fine point Sharpie pens right now. I also love the Pentel EnerGel needle point pens. But I have no idea what happens to them. I always buy several and within a couple of weeks I'm searching everywhere for them!!

My nerd does not extend to pens. I will buy a pen if it's pretty-looking, and that's all I know about it.

At my current job, I write A LOT as I am the official note-taker at all the meetings I'm a part of so I bought myself Elizabeth Rowley shiny gold (on the outside -- it writes black) pens to use.

DD does, too. Uuugh. DS and she also love Mr Scented markers--not that she uses those for homework, but they're still smelly lol!

I like a simple Flair pen or a Pilot pen. A pencil has to be SHARP. No soft lead smearing all over my paper!

I don't like fine point. I have to have a good medium point in black that glides. I found some Paper Mate profile pens at Smith's last Fall on a BOGO and I'm in love. I won't use anything else. I love the soft grip and the way they glide across the page when I'm writing... makes my handwriting look pretty. I bought a 12 pack at WalMart during the back to school sales and I'm hoarding them. I have one in my purse. One at my desk at school. One at my desk at home and one in my church bag. I used to have two in my church bag, but someone borrowed it yesterday and didn't give it back... WHAAA!

I use to hoard pens. Now I just want a pen that glides well.

I'm super picky about pens. My very favorite pen is the Paper Mate Flair. I also like the Sharpie Pens but I like the medium point. I also write with the Sharpie Permanent Pens and I use the fine point on those. If I get ahold of a ball point pen and it leaves one little glob, I can't stand it! I like the Paper Mate Ink Joy pens, too, but they don't dry fast enough for me. I'm too impatient.

I'm not picky. I don't even buy pens much anymore. We're still using a box of like 25 or maybe it was 50 Papermate blue ball point pens that I bought so many years ago I don't remember. Plus we have a few freebies here and there. When I used to write more, I liked buying these ball point pens that come in a set of red, orange, green, blue, purple, turquoise, and black. I don't remember the brand.

As for pencils, I haven't bought any since I was a teacher in the 90's. I still have many of those!

My whole family writes with keyboards for the most part.

My daughter has a huge pen fetish (along with water bottles and shoes). Her faves are Inkjoys, Sharpies, and those packs she keeps buying off Amazon with her own money. We bought a big plastic box of cookies at Costco so she could have the container for her pens. She also has a pencil case in her backpack. Hmm, I think she has a backpack fetish too, as I think she has at least 3 of them.

I like the Pilot G-2 gel pens that Costco sells in a huge pack.

I tend to have a favorite pen. Right now, it's the Uniball Signo 207. I have several packs of it so it lasts. I had a few coupons and when they were on sale at Staples, I loaded up. I did that in case it is ever discontinued. I used to have another favorite pen and when it was discontinued, I didn't have extras :( I learned my lesson :)

I love pens! and mechanical pencils! I don't really have a favorite, but I do prefer purple or blue ink. I do the NYT crossword most mornings and it has to be done with a mechanical pencil. I do NOT like regular pencils. It does not matter how many pens or pencils I have, I could go to Staples right now and buy more! I like pens that glide, and I like pens with fine tips. Seriously, just buy me the pens and mechanical pencils!

omg I love pens and pencils and erasers and notebooks. OH MY!

I use Faber Castell artist pens, there's a set of 4 or 5 that you can buy together in different widths. It's pigment ink so it won't smear when I highlight. I work in an office and I'm in a super technical field, but gosh darnit my notebook at work is so stinkin' cute. I decorate the edges of the paper with washi tape (of which I also have a large collection!!). I LOVE the zebra mildliner highlighters. they are really pretty colors and I coordinate them with my washi tape. And then I try to do cute word art titles for dates, lol. (Hey, I have to do SOMETHING to pass the time in boring meetings!!)

In 2003 after I had rotator cuff surgery, I was given the advice by a physical therapist to use writing instruments that had a larger barrel to hold on to when I told them I was having trouble gripping a pen to write. So I found some pens with a larger barrel and once I tried them, I was hooked.

I have finally settled on the Pilot G-2 pens and in the house clean out this year, I have found that I am stocked for quite awhile! And, since you can get refills for them makes it even better.

As far as pencils go, I haven't used a regular pencil that needs sharpened for over 25 years. When I first started working in the accounting field, I saw that everyone used the mechanical pencils. I switched then and have never looked back. I did have to change the type of barrel I used after my surgery like I did with pens. I do believe the one I have on my desk is probably 15 years old... the beauty of mechanical pencils.

As long as they're not scratchy & dropping blobs of ink in random spots, it's all good! But I seem to prefer chunky pens instead of skinny ones (I think they make me hold them in such a way that I write nicer! ) but I can never keep them for long, darn kids!

RSVP all day every day. LOVE. In the same respect, I love the fine tip gel pens in colors, so I can color code my planner/agenda (which is something else I'm SUPER picky about) ;)

I love this post.

I'm a big angry bear if I catch anyone stealing my pens! It's a serious problem. I buy my own for work because they just go for the cheap black medium point pens (understandably), and everyone knows not to touch my pens. I'm super picky - they must be blue ballpoint, and they must be fine point. Anything else just makes me unhappy. My favorites? Zebra F-301

yup I am picky about pens and pencils and I must have lots... When I worked I would hate when someone walked away with one of my pens! I am a pen collector it seems!! Black or blue as long as it is comfy in my hand I am happy!

I love writing utensils! One of the companies we distributed for was Sharpie, and they had a GREAT employee purchase program. Let's just say I'm set for LIFE with pens at this point!
I'm finicky and like medium point, blue pens that write SUPER smooth!
