Wrapping Presents Angst!|Pad Patter 12.16

I actually loved it....when we traveled to spend with the family, the shopping (most of it) was done here in England...
Then when here I mainly give presents to Sarita and my doctors, people who work in the surgery, the receptionists at the dentist....
This year Sarita gets nothing so no worries there LOL
 
I love wrapping! One of these days I want to do fun, fabric ribbons and little trinkets as attachments, but so far, I haven't gotten myself together early enough to do that! One day though!
 
Hubby and I tend to wait till Christmas Eve at 10 pm to wrap. Lol!
This year, though... more books than gifts. (Yaaaaay!!!) I tried to stick to "wear read want need", which didn't work out quite as I had planned, but we did end up with less toys and more books. We each have spent time wrapping gifts this week, so this evening we only have just a few items to wrap this evening. The books I'm hoping to set up all around the tree, because I don't have any cool ideas on how to wrap a bazillion books.

I am particularly proud of one gift I wrapped for hubby this year. :hehe I bought several used Nintendo DS games that I think are two players (so we can play together) and put them into a box. Used DS games are tiny, about 1 inch x 1.5 inches; they weigh a few ounces, and don't come in a box, just an envelope. I put a weight in the box to make it heavy. On the box, I drew a hangman style word game/letter dashes ("want to play?!")... I attached the GLITTER letters to figure out in a jumbled mess with saran wrap :giggle Then I wrapped it more on top of that. I'm so excited to see him deal with this. :hehe
 
Hate it, not the wrapping as such, I just get bored, I have to do it over several days. I don't make such a great job either. Nor do I do tags any more - I buy different patterned papers for each person (I only have immediately family and a couple of good friends to buy for). Now, when I was a SAHM I made such pretty tags. I do miss them but I am just not organised enough to make an early start - I'm never really in the Christmas spirit much before, erm, Christmas Eve!
 
Four more today -- maybe another one if the post office gets it here. Guess I should get busy. Christmas spirit took a hit this morning but it's coming back.
 
done! even the open on Christmas eve presents...and I cheated and taped unwrapped little gifts to the wrapped obligatory pajamas! lol
