Hello friends!

My main job today is to wrap presents (why yes, I am a big procrastinator, thanks for asking) so let’s talk about wrapping paper and wrapping presents.

Do you wrap gifts in wrapping paper, use gift bags, or something else?
If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat?
If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper?
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper?

I mostly use wrapping paper. Sometimes I use the brown packing paper that comes in packages. I also love Costco’s Christmas wrapping paper and wish they sold birthday wrapping paper year round.

If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat?
Nope. I try to wrap as quick as possible so it’s never very pretty.

If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper?
Always!

Our friends wrapped our car in wrapping paper when we got married. It was so cute! I still need to scrap those photos…

I would prefer to wrap in napkins, table cloths and draw string bags etc, but my husband likes modern commercial wrapping paper. I'm the gift wrapper here, my husband is the shopper. He hides everything, and doesn't get it out for me generally until the last minute - so wrapping presents in the night on Christmas Eve is not uncommon.

I wrap everything, usually while I have White Christmas playing on the tv. I use either plain white paper or brown kraft paper, with plaid or plain fabric ribbons and I like to use my big stamps from the days when I paper scrapped to make the tags. I use baker's twine to tie the tags on. One year I found some 3D tissue paper garlands and tree shapes that I used to decorate packages with- here are some pretty packages I have wrapped in the past:

If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat? I try to be neat, but as the wrapping day drags on, I get tired and the folds get less neat.
If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper? I don't ususally use gift bags, but if I do, I use tissue paper.
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper? I think we wrapped 3 of those floor gaming chairs (with speakers build into the backs) about 12 years ago-- I used up almost a whole roll of wrapping paper on those! (here is the kind of chair I mean:

I absolutely love wrapping presents! I love to use all of the pretty paper, ribbons, and bows. I especially love it when I can find wrapping paper that matches my Christmas tree decorations! Sometimes I use pretty gift bags and I always stuff them with tissue paper as well as tissue paper in gift boxes. I thought everyone used tissue paper, but I guess not. One of my fondest memories is of my late grandfather teaching me to wrap presents. He was so good at it, that he could even get the prints on the paper to line up! I can't remember that part since I was pretty young when he passed, but apparently, he used to love wrapping presents, too.
I just went over to my aunt's house on Tuesday and helped her wrap her gifts and the gifts that her brother had sent to her house for his 4 kids. It was a lot of wrapping, but it was the best day. My daughter came too, but she hates wrapping so she just wrote out the gift tags, LOL.
The biggest thing I ever wrapped...hm, one year I bought my aunt & uncle this wooden room divider that had removable glass to put picture frames in. That was pretty big. And bikes and desk chairs for my kids were also big and awkward, but I wrapped them, too.

I tend to do a mix of both wrapping and bags. This year due to lack of funds I really did not purchase much for the kids or anyone in general. Most of my gifts are small and are going into bags this year and I use tissue paper with them to make them more pretty and normally throw in a personal hand written note if I have time

Draw string bags would be nicer than gift bags because they close tight. I wouldn’t want to buy them or make them though; too much work.

I hope you don’t have too much to wrap on Christmas Eve Angela. I’m trying to get mine done today so I can sleep that night.

I love your pretty packages with the baker’s twine Kelly!

What a sweet memory with your grandfather Lynn. :heartlub

I’m impressed you’ve wrapped bikes! In my house those just get a big bow lol

I love that you’ll throw in a hand written note. I need to do that more often.

Do you wrap gifts in wrapping paper, use gift bags, or something else? I mostly use commercial wrapping paper. Last year I stocked up after Christmas.
If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat? I try ...
If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper? Yes
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper? My family doesn't wrap big gifts like dollhouses, sleds, bikes, etc. They just get a bow and a name tag.

Do you wrap gifts in wrapping paper, use gift bags, or something else? I use mostly wrapping paper that I get from the dollar store. Sometimes I'll do a gift bag, but usually only if it's something harder to wrap and I don't have a good sized box to put it in. If I buy gift cards I usually put those in a little tin from the dollar store and then wrap that up too.

If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat? Meh... I do my best, but if I have a lot to wrap, I take a little less care with the folding neat and tidy. :giggle

If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper? Yep! It's not a complete gift bag without tissue paper!

What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper? My sister had her first baby on Christmas Day, so one of her gifts was a rocker/glider chair from her hubby. He wrapped the entire thing with wrapping paper... like it was all put together and he wrapped each piece individually, so it was like it was upholstered with wrapping paper. It must have taken forever for him to wrap that thing! I wish I had a picture! I bet my sister does. I'll have to ask her for it. I found one in my old Google photos! Ha ha!

Does the dollar store paper work well? I’ve never dared try it. I hate when the paper tears while I’m trying to cut or wrap.

That wrapping paper upholstery is impressive!

My Dollar Tree has Hallmark wrapping paper if you can believe that! It's so great. Nice and thick with the grid inside.

I used to be GREAT at wrapping presents... now? not so good... it's sad too - because I think if the outside is pretty, you are more anxious to open the gift!
I use a mix of commercial paper and bags with tissue... I usually try for a theme each year. This year it was red and white. This being said I usually have to purchase new paper every year... LOL
I also like funky papers - this was from a few years back the mate (which is all gone) was a crab in a Santa hat and it said Sandy Claws. I like to see if anyone really pays attention to the wrap. Usually they don't... :(

Do you wrap gifts in wrapping paper, use gift bags, or something else? Both
If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat? I'll admit that it's mostly my hubby who wraps. It kills my back to do this simple task! He is very neat.
If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper? Always have to have tissue paper inside to cushion the gift, We can't have tissue paper sticking out of the bag, though, because our cat Holly Belle will eat it and it makes for a messy gift!
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper? Hmmm, I think it was my ex-stepmom's dad who wrapped a huge block of ice and inside the ice was a lot of cash for her mom. We have a huge blue velvet bag that we've used a few times for oversize gifts, and there was a point when my sister and my current step-mom were trading this huge green shopping bag that looked like a trash bag to wrap big presents in.

Do you wrap gifts in wrapping paper, use gift bags, or something else? Both - I reuse gift bags all the time!
If you use wrapping paper, do you fold everything nice and neat? No! I'm the worst at wrapping gifts.
If you use gift bags, do you stuff them with tissue paper? If I have it. LOL.
What’s the biggest gift you’ve ever seen wrapped in wrapping paper? Hmm, nothing too large. Probably a big box that held a large RC airplane.

FYI - I hate wrapping gifts. It's probably one of my least favorite things to do. I usually divide my kids up and have them help me. This year we knocked all of the wrapping out yesterday with hubby's help.
