Wind! the worst!? you? PP 2.1.2016

Definitely hate snow and ice UGH. But I do hate the really powerful winds, too....mainly because our house is surrounded by trees and we've had a couple of close calls. One tree took out the whole front of our deck a few years ago. We had a bunch cut down this past year, so I don't worry as much.
 
Wind is the worst! Grew up on a farm, when it got windy in summer, we had the worst dust storms. When we moved into a brand new suburb with no ground coverings anywhere, the dust storms there were horrendous also.

And now we are surrounded by trees, so dreading one of them coming down. Trees down in high winds is probably the most common weather related problems we have in Canberra. That and droughts...

it snowed in the middle of high gusty winds!!! which was great, because it melted real fast, and that kept the dirt from moving. it is so cold right now...my heart just aches for those pioneers so long ago..how they did it, I will never understand!
 
oh after a couple decos (or what ever they called it), like winds and sever storm, just come out of blue. Definately the wind.
 
Living in Northern British Columbia I would have to say that I hate it when winter can't make up it's mind. I would honestly rather it stay -15C all winter long, rather than be cold and snowy, then warm and melting, then freezing. It sucks to do anything outside when it can't make up it's mind!!
