Who's in the Pool? | Pad Patter 5.16.16

No way am I swimming yet! It snowed here on saturday. Only a little, but still! Our pool season is August 15th. :giggle We used to have a pool in our backyard and we filled it in because we barely got two good months out of it some years. We also live 1 mile from Lake Michigan, so we just swim there instead. :)

The boys like to joke that it's not summer until Mom goes into the lake... which is usually around mid-July before I deem it warm enough.
 
It's still a little chilly here, but the pool is open and should be swimmable by the weekend. Don't think anyone will want to actually be in it yet though!
 
Swim season here is usually June to August....which seems terrible short growing up in Florida where we swam year round. I'm not much of a swimmer...it has to be like 100 degrees outside.
 
I have a pool in my backyard but I don't think anyone has been in it for a year or more. It's one of the main reasons I want to move. Pools are a lot of work to maintain!

Yep! That's another reason we filled ours in! We use our backyard all year long now, but before the pool took up the whole yard and the rest was all brick or cement. Now we have a patio, firepit and actual grass! :)
