which one is easier?

Which ever one you learn first is easiest. I learned crochet first, so I find it easier.

I wish I had learned to knit first. I learned to crochet in high school....learning to knit has been on my list for years but I just can't get it.

It's also gonna depend on the person and which one they learned first. For me I knew how to knit as a kid and learned how to crochet a few years ago. Plus, I learned the english method (it is the easier way) so learning to crochet was difficult for me. I couldn't grasp how to do it until I took a class and watched multiple YouTube videos.

Oh, I will say- if you learn how to knit, download the app called KnittingHelp. She's WONDERFUL and shows you how to do it all! Great resource to have with you, especially since you can have it on your phone!

Oh I'm downloading that now!

i like the idea of crocheting but have a really hard time counting stitches. i love knitting and need to get out my projects for evenings again! I don't knit in the summer, but fall is coming quickly. :)

This is me Exactly!! My knitting time is coming to a close now spring is here...

I learned to crochet as a kid, so I prefer that, but I like the look of knitting on the finished side a lot more for wearable things like hats, mittens and sweaters. I wonder what method of knitting I learned. Imma gonna have to check out those videos...

Crochet for me...1 hook versus 2 needles!!! But I secretly have wanted to learn how to knit for quite a while. And this post is making me want to look in to it even further!! Will definitely check out the links.

Gosh, girls, you are all so handy and you know soo much about it. I am a real virgin on this...

I learned crochet first so that is easier for me. I find the two handed, two needle bit hard to manage. But that might be my 20 month old numbing into me every 10 seconds too, not sure. My hubby taught himself to knit last year and he swears it's way easier, having never crocheted ever, LOL! Have fun, whichever you choose.

Whatever you choose, Lili, you better scrap your attempt and use this adorable kit by Val! :yesss

Brandi, I have been eyeing on this kit for the longest time!! I am gonna pick KNITTING!!! WISH ME LUCK!!

this is my crochet project this month! half way done! ...you know...in case you wanted inspiration lol...

I'm a crocheter and I love it. I just started knitting after a failed attempt a few years ago. I'm not sure what was different this time but it's going much better, I'm making scarves for the homeless and they aren't even terrible LOL. I'm knitting Continental and I find it much easier than English but I think that may be because I'm a crocheter and it feels more like that. Whatever you choose prepare to be hooked.

That's awesome Val! I love that! I used to use Ravelry all of the time! Such a great resource. :)

my MIL knits continental always has. i tried it american and it hurt my wrists. i found crocheting easier. however, have not crocheted in a long time. but now i'm wondering if i should try continental. i might just have to give it a shot.
