Hubby and I are looking to eat a little healthier leading up to the holidays. I need a little inspiration for places to look for healthy recipes. I usually go to Skinny Taste but wondering if there are other places out there. Anybody have healthy recipe sources they love?
https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/g3733/healthy-dinner-recipes/ Honestly We make a lot of "bowls" with some kind of grain. a lean protein and than loads of healthy veggies .. it's fun.. we do asian inspired ones.. southwest ones.. so forth....
I usually go to Serious Eats, Smitten Kitchen, Skinny Taste, Damn Delicious, Food 52, Recipe Tin Eats, and Love & Lemons. I especially like features that let me pick narrow them down by special diet or by what ingredients I have.
Pinch of nom is one my favorites because it's across the pond. So, they make lots of different things than I find in the US! Also, the library. There's always new healthy cookbooks there.
SparkRecipes has been a go to for me for many years. I used to use the related website (SparkPeople) for exercise and weight loss tracking.
Being vegan, I think that I have an advantage here - LOL (Thugkitchen) badmanners.com dorastable.com noracooks.com forksoverknives.com karissasvegankitchen.com veganoutreach.org
I started as no red meat (since 1984) I never really liked the taste of red meat... then I stopped eating pork because I decided that my diet didn't need that much fat - I mean there really isn't such a thing as lean pork. I just kinda got sick of chicken. The last and the hardest to give up was seafood and dairy. I have been vegan now for almost 10 years. There are so many good alternatives for dairy now and lots more GREAT recipes available at a click which makes the transition far easier now than in years past! Have fun checking things out!
Well, every time you eat a vegetarian dinner is a win in my book. If you can't go "all the way" - good enough is good enough.
