Where do you carry your Cell Phone |Pad Patter 4.18

Mine is by my side, stuck in my back pocket, or in my purse. Sticking it in your back pocket can be dangerous. Have had a few close calls while in the loo, and once almost threw it in the wash accidentally. And I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I'm totally addicted to it. I do try and not pull it out or check it when I'm sitting visiting with people. What's funny is that it took me forever to get a mobile phone back in the day. I just thought they were pointless. :eyeroll

When I'm at home, it's just laying around somewhere. I live small so I will hear it wherever I am.
When I'm at school, it's in my bag. And it mostly stays in my bag. I can't be on my phone if I'm working and even if I can I don't think I should. If I don't hear it, I don't hear it. I always say that if something is really important and people can't reach me, they know to call the school. If you feel like you can't call the school, it's not important enough.
When I'm outside, it's in my jacket pocket. Or my purse.

I have to admit that I am not so obsessed with my phone as some.
And I never put it in my bra. I've tried it mockingly because I think it is stupid but I also don't get it. It doesn't seem to fit comfortably and it will show? I don't understand how people do...

I WANT to be less addicted to my phone, but hubby insists 24/7 it's on and with me. If I forget, my 13 yo addicted daughter will remember it.

My purse or in the cupholder when I'm in the car, and when I'm at home, it is on the table/counter/nightstand. I'm really paranoid about the bra thing and am always nagging my daughter not to carry it there. Of course she doesn't listen. :p I have the Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge and it seems huge. I couldn't put it in a pocket even if I had one. :giggle

At home - on charger at desk.
Out and about - front seat of truck on charger, in zippered part of cross body purse
When walking, in yard, working around the house - in little pocket I tuck under bra strap on shoulder so I can listen to my audiobooks. It does make an odd shoulder pad, lol. Bra sometime as I'm too old to care if it shows - it's safe there.

When I'm at home, it is just somewhere around the house, usually sitting on the hutch, or maybe in my purse if I haven't taken it out. When I am out and about it is in my purse.

Most often: Counter next to Amazon Echo. Or on my bedside table, or in my purse. I tend to forget it in those 3 places. For my more adult podcast listening (Criminal, Life of the Law, etc) it's in my apron pocket with headphones attached. When I remember to charge my bluetooth headphones, I'll leave it on the counter.

And what do you mean by ringing? You mean a phone does more than text or play audiobooks/podcasts? :rollin

When my phone rings, it's one of three things: It's for my daughter, it's my hubby, or it's my SIL needing something from me. Other than that, I don't think my phone ever rings.

I absolutely hate to talk on the phone unless it is my daughters. It stays on my table by the sofa when I'm sitting there or it's in a special pocket in my purse if I'm out. I do not carry it all over the house except to bed when I use it to read. I wear it in one of those special stretchy belt thingies (can't remember what it is called but they were all the rage last year) when walking or going places where I don't carry a purse. Even that is only for emergencies - I don't answer it! I mostly use my phone to read, take photos, or text!

When I'm out, it's in my purse, in an outside pocket or in the special phone pocket that most of my purses seem to have.

When I'm at home, my phone is usually near me. It's either on the bar or on my desk. I used to carry it absolutely everywhere, but nowadays, if I go outside or I'm moving around the house, it stays on the desk or the bar while I'm working.

It's on my desk during my work day and, if I'm out and about, it's almost always my back pocket unless my outfit doesn't allow. In that case, I am usually somewhere that it isn't polite to use my phone anyways, so it's tucked away in my purse.

My camera - the thing I text on - sits on my desk at home with the ringer off. I truly hate talking on the phone from days when i had callers screaming at my. (I worked for the govt.) At night, it's on my nightstand charging but it's in airplane mode.

When I go out, it's in a specific pocket on the outside of my purse. One boss of mine showed me her LeSportsac purse and now that'a all I have -black for 6 months of the year and tan for the other six. The pocket is consistent and when it's not in there, I know I've been distracted and need to get centered. (ditto for my keys who live in the adjacent pocket with a lip gloss) If I'm driving any more than a few miles, I'll put my phone on the passenger seat and charge it.

What I have found is that I'm wearing more leggings and there are NO pockets! In the winter, I stuck the phone in an apron pocket which I wore more of the day. That way I didn't have to carry it down stairs. I only want it down stairs to take photos inside or out. Again, that ringer stays off!

LOL Anne!!!!! I used to do that too (in my bra!!!) when I was working with Immigration, as I had to walk the airport all over and wouldn't carry my purse around....
These days I don't even have a cell !!!
I do have one but haven't turned it on for 2 years :giggle

In your bra @AnneofAlamo!!! LOL!

Mines in my purse when out venturing, otherwise it's on my desk at work or at home. I haven't tried carrying it in my bra yet, may have to try that! :-)

right now, I admit it is in my bra!

I am always loosing it and have to have hubby call me, or go to Lostmyphone.com yikes!

How do you not lose it? where is it now?

Seriously, I get purses with nifty pocket just for phone...and then I drop it in the big middle abyss!

@AnneofAlamo please find s new place to keep it. I saw an article a few months ago re women may get breast cancer from doing that... I know it may be inconvenient but better safe than sorry. I keep mine in my purse if I am out

Try not to keep it in your bra. There have been documented cases of breast cancer from putting the phone in your bra. I thought it was a joke, but it's not.
Ansolutely agree Re breast cancer cases

I have a Pebble Steel watch and all the notification alerts on my phone go right to my watch, so I don't need to keep my phone close to me -- just within bluetooth range. Most of the time my phone is either in my purse or on my bedside table, connected to the charger. I have a small crossbody purse, just big enough for my keys and phone and fits inside my "real" purse, so that I can carry just my keys and my phone even if I'm not carrying my purse or anything else.

Like @cfile said I can't emphasize enough "Please don't carry it in your bra" Even if it's a tiny risk, it's too much. I had an aggressive form of breast cancer with tumors growing rapidly. I can only imagine what might have happened if I had carried a cell phone there (it was in the same spot a cell phone would go). It's not a fun experience.
