Where are you shopping for clothes these days?

I buy my work clothes (khakis and dressy tees) from LL Bean, but I haven’t bought any in ages. I do need to buy some new pants b/c my 2 current pairs are ragged at the bottoms and I’ve lost weight and need a smaller size.

My jeans are Levi from Kohl’s.

I hate clothes shopping …

My swimsuits are from Lands End. They are fabulous and amazing quality! For context, they survived 2 or 3 years in Las Vegas sun, and are still going strong! Not misshapen or anything. I highly recommend them! Worth the price, and usually on sale in Sept/Oct.

My pants: Sigh. I will find a pair of pants I love, and stick with them! My last pairs were from Costco and Sam's. Impossible to find now of course. And, since they are now officially threadbare, I had to buy new ones. After searching the local stores, including our 'outlet' stores, I ended up going to Amazon and finding a bunch in the "try before you buy". I found some Sketchers ones I like. Pockets! on yoga type pants. Seriously - pockets!! So, I went to Sketchers site. Not available. The irony! I ended up buying them from Amazon because of that.

My shirts/hoodies: They come from everywhere. I love a good hoodie for the fall and winter. I've bought hoodies and/or shirts from our library, Columbia Sportswear, Teepublic ('Scrapbooking is my superpower' along with other pithy statements), and Sam's Club. Old Navy too. I bought a few from Walmart, but the fabric was super thin, and stained really easily! So, no more. I've got a few from thrift stores too.

My skirts and dresses: Thrift stores. I've got some LulaRoe from Thrift Stores. Occasionally, I've gotten dresses or skirts from Burlington Coat Factory or T.J.Maxx. These are way easier to find at thrift shops in my size than shirts or pants.

Thrift stores. I'm serious. I find the most amazing things there. I love paying .50 cents for a pair of jeans. And when I don't want it anymore I re-donate it. About the only things I pay retail for are undergarments. Otherwise thing are simply too expensive these days. I'd rather save the money for something fun, instead.

My current go tos are Athleta and J.Jill. Fortunately I don’t have to dress up often (and I define dressing up as not wearing joggers and a hoodie lol). I stalk the sale sections of both of those. I’m all about comfort these days. I think that’s a pandemic thing, after a couple of years of wearing sweats or joggers most days, it’s hard to convince myself to wear real pants lol!

I like trendy clothes but don't want to pay steep prices for clothing that will fall out of fashion in a year or two + generally have a hard time finding it in my (plus) size.

I have been buying stuff from Shein with mostly good results. There's usually free shipping once you hit a certain amount which helps, too. It is coming from overseas so it takes a few weeks to arrive (and sometimes will smell pretty badly until it's washed) but it's been fun to add bits & pieces of things to my wardrobe that don't make me feel frumpy or old or scream "middle-aged fat lady."

Wherever I can find the best sales lol
Most recently - Kohls, Old Navy, American Eagle, Walmart :)

In the last 7 or so years especially the last 5 since I've been working again, I created a work "uniform" for myself. I hate trying to decide what to wear to work so I bought 5 pair comfy pull on black slacks from Costco. I have about 8 or so shirts 5 of one kind and 3/4 of this other style I like.

Regular life I'm all about comfort and have a few pair of plain blue jeans, but mostly I have joggers. And a TON of graphic tees. With characters, funny sayings, cool quotes. They're my favorite. Add a pair of cute sneakers and I'm done.

So pretty much anywhere I can get thsoe things, I'm good to shop. lol
Where I spend money is panties and bras. I only go to Lane Bryant for those now.
