do you get all giddy to upload it and get disappointed when no one sees it? I swear I think that I have taste totally different from other people, because the layouts I think are my favorites get little or no response and my layouts I think will be ignored get attention! LOL

I do notice that time of day that you upload makes a difference . . . sometimes it just takes a while for people to catch up with the gallery postings.

I have days I feel that way, but I try to remember who I'm doing it for. For me it's a dangerous path to start thinking about it because I get discouraged and really these are for me and my family.
Then there are days when you made a page with really strange colors and papers and it's not your best and it ends up being a Froggy Fav. So you never know! Going to go check out your gallery (I haven't done that much lately)

Ha! I could have written this too! When I have a favorite, it's not an attention getter, but it's still my favorite. When I am unsure or think a layout is nothing special, it gets all the attention!

Glad to know I am not alone!! I will post a few of my faves here and see how ya'll like them here. Lol

I know I'm scrapping for memories and for me, but let's face it - outward valuation is really great too!!

I think sometimes it's what appeals to a specific person too. Like I love journaling and photos on a layout. So I'm more apt to comment on those types. But my friend is more apt to adore certain products or colors. And another friend is into techniques, and that's what draws her eye.

I have been working really hard on learning the more artsy paint splatty style, so when I feel I've accomplished it - I feel giddy and forget that many people already know how to do it and it's old hat to them! LOL

Yes - this happens to me too. I do not stress over it though. As @carilyne said - I do this for me.
I do though, often finish a layout and think its not really what I wanted - then yes - low and behold - that's the one that gets the attention. Go figure...

It happens to me. I've gotten GSOs on LOs that... I mean, I like them or I wouldn't have made them at all, but I wasn't super excited about them. Then others I make and think I knocked it out of the park and they don't get a single comment. But I still love them and my kids love them and it's all good!

I think a lot of why some layouts get to be my favourite is the process behind them - that great snap or a wonderful story or just a new technique I used and worked well. Whilst this may not be apparent to others in the gallery, as some of you said, I do it for myself - its sort of therapeutic. And when I do get comments and praise, that's the icing on top :)

btdt. Only one of my absolute favorites was also a hit in a gallery years ago. Interestingly it was not at all my norm... but I've come to enjoy blending a lot since then and use it on my travel albums a lot.
