what's for dinner?

well tonight in honor of me painting all day...i am reheating Sundays big meatball sandwich sauce and putting it over speghetti noodles! woooooooooo hooo, might have one of my budding chef twins make garlic bread!

I'm getting fed tonight! WOOT! We host a Community Group from our church in our home every Tuesday night. We usually just have coffee (provided by me) and dessert (if someone is in the mood to bring it, LOL). Tonight, they are bringing DINNER in honor of my birthday (It's old news now... 4th). Anyway, someone is coming to my house in 2 hours and bringing dinner!

I am so excited. hehe...

We're having tater tot casserole tonight...easy meal b/c DH is working late. We're bringing it to a friend's house (who's husband is also working late) and she's making the sides. Combined dinner/playdate plus social time for moms...looking forward to it, even though I'm not a tater tot casserole fan.

gah i have no idea and have like 30min to come up with something.

I have been insanely sick since last Friday, so DH made chocolate chip pancakes and bacon for dinner last night. Is it just me or does food always taste even MORE delicious when someone else cooks it?! :giggle

I am going to make chicken quesadillas (v. plain so DD will eat them -- just chicken + cheese + tomatoes) tonight once I get out in the garden to pick some more tomatoes.

We're having cheeseburger crescent rolls. Basically it's seasoned browned ground beef and cheese wrapped up in a crescent roll and baked.

Tonight will be a low-carb pizza (crust made w/ almond flour) for me and mac/n/cheese for the hubby. :) I was going to make a chicken, bacon, veggie chowder but my illness is hitting me hard today so to the easier option I go...

I eat low carb/paleo. Tonight I'm frying sausage in stewed tomatoes, garlic, celery, onion, peppers and italian spices. I'm boiling potatoes for my hubs and I'll have a faux cauliflower mash. Dessert is a piece of dark chocolate.

Rae... I have a good friend who did great on the Paleo diet. It would be tough for me since I put noodles or rice in every dish as a "filler" LOL. But I have seriously considered it. Your meal sounds yummy.

All the foods sound yummy! I didn't cook last night but the night before I made one of the Pioneer Woman's recipes, the chicken with olives and ohemgee it was sooooo good!!!! Definitely keeping that on the faves list!! This is it in case you are interested http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/06/chicken-with-olives/ I only didn't cook it in the oven but just in the pan for the same amount of time ;)

I am going to do a skillet lasagna tonight! I see Monica made that earlier this week. But I am going to add chicken to it instead of ground beef since I made a rice taco thing on Monday with ground beef.

Last night we had mahi mahi with a ginger soy glaze and kale chips. :)

Last night we had pulled pork over mashed potatoes with cranberries and salads.

Tonight, my darling DH has a brisket on the smoker. I'm doing an avocado, corn and tomato salad to go with it. Mmmmm

Your dinners are sounding so good!!! Tonight the kids have a program at church and my husband has a work meeting, so it's probably leftovers for the kids and I'll do something on my own.

Jen - paleo does take a bit of getting used to but once you get over the carb cravings, it is pretty easy to maintain. I had the leftovers for breakfast. My retriever and I enjoyed it :)

Tomorrow is my big grocery day...so tonight is FEND for...all the left overs are put on counter, and Fend for yourself! lol, 'cept I heat the Littles! Then they all go in garbage, and I will clean fridge in the am, go to zumba, sweat and take my stinky self to the grocery store! bhwhhha
come home put it away, shower and collapse!

LOL, Anne. I totally have a FFY day, too... "Fend for Yourself" ( scrapped about it for LM). I even schedule it :). It's my fave day. And I call my 2 youngest kids the "Littles" as well (cuz the older 2 are the "Boys"). Were we separated at birth? :giggle
