what's for dinner?

i know it's early in the day here but i have a grocery trip in my future and do not have any brilliant ideas.

:helpy

thanks ladies. :jumpey

I'm throwing a pork roast in the crock pot at lunch. Rice pilaf and beans. And bread.

oy I dont know. Dougs on afternoons so its just me and the kids. Prob something easy like french toast. mmmmm Yep, french toast.

We are having Thai take out. Can't wait. I need to work on my grocery list this afternoon and go tomorrow morning.

how about some turkey chili? it's a family fave! so easy and so yum. :fruit

Turkey Chili- the most yummy chili!
2 tbs olive oil
2lbs ground turkey
2 tbs minced garlic
5 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
32 oz chicken broth
2 cans black beans (rinsed)
20 oz. frozen sweet corn
2 C instant white rice
2 C green salsa (Salsa Verde- Henez Brand)
1 whole can mild Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilis (undrained)
1 chopped red onion
1 bundle of chopped cilantro
12 oz bag shredded cheese

In a large pot heat the olive oil on med-high heat. Add turkey and garlic, stirring to break up finely. When turkey is half way browned, add salt, pepper and cumin. Finish browning. Stir in chicken broth, corn, rice, beans, salsa verde and Rotel tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover, simmering for 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat, serve and top with onion, cilantro and cheese.

10 mins to prepare
20-25 mins cooking time
8 servings

I usually double it and then have my parents over. We can each eat a bowl and a half and sometimes have leftovers.

ok, so I'm changing my mind to this. a. I have the ingredients vs. stopping at the store to buy a rotisserie chicken since I am out of leftover chicken. b. it just sounds delicious! I adore rice and corn in chili.
tfs!

Pumpkin pancakes!! I need that recipe. Mmmm.

We're just having tacos - rotisserie chicken from Costco, homemade salsa, homemade refried beans, mmmmm. It smells good - I can't wait to eat! HAHAHA

no idea. And I've not even heard of some of the things you guys are eating! :think

pumpkin pancakes. YUMMY!

We had garlic and parmesan breaded chicken breasts with creamy pesto tossed capellini and caesar salad and garlic bread.
