What's for Dinner?

Tonight we are having Tomato Soup and grilled cheese. I got a loaf of sliced parmesan garlic bread from the Wal-Mart bakery to make the sandwiches with. Yum.

I'm going to kinda run with Rebecca's idea. Except I'm going to print a blank calendar, and let each of them fill in 2 days, and then I'll fill in the rest. We'll see how it goes. Probably they'll all say tacos, and we'll be eating tacos 10 days next month. :rofl Oh well, my 15 year old is the taco maker, so that will just mean less work for me. (To be fair, he does 90% of the cooking that goes down around here. I just need to plan the menu, which I suck at, and get the groceries, which I suck at.)

omgosh, Angie, I would LOVE to have a good roast! I can't cook beef to save my life.

But pork. I can do pork. We love this Brown Sugar Spiced Pork Loin. We had Monterey Chicken last night.

Gurrllll....

All I do is chuck it (har, chuck roast, chuck it) in the crockpot with potatoes and carrots, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and a packet of dry onion soup mix. Easy peasy.

ha!! you guys crack me up! i'm no hero, certainly, but thanks for puffing me up for a second! ;)
seriously, if i ever actually get through a month where i've STUCK TO the **** menu, it would be a friggin miracle! i plan, but then i rebel against my own plans and so something else random instead. :shrug it's what i do...can't be fixed. but i keep trying.

yay tracy for not having to cook!! i wish we had an eat out fri-sun plan! i like that idea!!

My eating out plan is more like Sun-Fri. /shame

We're having pan seared tilapia with a "Kickin Chicken" Seasoning sprinkled on, brown rice, salad and madarin oranges from a can. And maybe a little steamed and then quickly stir fried brocoli.

Not my most creative or tasty dinner, but it's pretty good (meaning 3 out of the 4 of us will eat it) and it's healthy and we're eating out the next two nights so I wanted something that was huge in calories.

chicken wraps...super easy
and every one loves them.
if i have time i'll gril chicken otherwise, i just throw some strips thinly sliced in a pan with some onions.
cook through.. then we throw it on a wheat tortilla with lettuce and cheese and Cesar dressing. yum-o. eat warm or cold.. i've wrapped some and the kids have taken them for lunches the next day too.

We had homemade pizza tonight. Boboli now has a package of two small sized crusts so I can make BBQ chicken pizza for the hubster and I and the other one I make half cheese and half Pepperoni to split between the two boys. Yummy! :)

I've really been trying to add a new recipe in each week. The problem I have is finding a recipe that everyone is willing to try AND that it healthy (AKA low WW points). Sigh.

Yep, I find that the kids LOVE to have input in what goes on the menu. Usually their choices are hot dogs or grilled cheese or chicken noodle soup... but i give them their choices. My hubs would have a fit if we did 15 taco nights. sometimes he tells me i should have just been born south of the border with as much as i love that cuisine!! :rofl

Just ended up with 2 taco nights (and one enchilada and one chicken nachos) and 2 macaroni and cheese. Otherwise they didn't' double up as much as I expected.

oh ma word angie, that sandwich looks YUM! may have to try it sometime. i don't think i've ever purchased cube steak in my whole life, though. :shrug

Do it. It's super yummy. She has another version of it with peppers and mushrooms which is even yummier, but my kids are boring.
