What's everyone reading??

oh I feel so out of the loop :( I haven't read a book in ages though I love reading. I have Angels and Demons by Dan Brown just sitting waiting for me to open it and so many other books in my bookshelf but I just can't be bothered lately.
I'd like to get the shopaholic ones as I think something lighthearted would suit me at the moment. :)

I am a Stephen King fanatic so I am reading The Stand right now. I joined a group in the fall that is reading his works in the order published.

Just wanted to say that all three of the Stieg Larsson books are really great! :)

I'm currently reading "Cat and Mouse" by James Patterson.

Can anyone recommend a good "chicklit" author similar to Marian Keyes and Sophie Kinsella (read all their books) please?

i got a whole disc of chick lit let me look and ill come back and recomend a few authors

Meg Cabot
Emily Giffin
Alesia Holiday

All these look pretty good,i tend to get an author then go amazon and look at the reviews,That sells a book to me

Oh! It was Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky. After I started reading it I realized there was a Lifetime movie based on it recently called "The Pregnancy Pact".

Before that I finished The Time Travelers Wife and now I'm reading her next book Her Perfect Symmetry which is really good so far.

Check out the books by Katie Fforde.

I've seen that book at Costco and considered getting it!

I am loving all these book recommendations! WOOT!!!! I just ordered a ton of books from Barnes and Noble, and I am nto sure which one I will read next, lol! They were only like 4 bucks each too. :D I have The Lovely Bones, but I am scared of reading it..so I might read something lighter next..I just gotta make it through this book. Usually I am a crazy fast reader, Les can tell you that, but I just cannot get into this book at all. :(

Amy, I have seen that movie on Lifetime..haven't watched it, but I saw the commercials. :)

is lovely bones the one where she is raped ? i think i read that but had a hard time reading it dont think it was my scene

She was murdered..maybe raped..I haven't read it. I think I might pass it along. I don't know if I can read it..lol

oh yeah she is murdered and watches over her family,i got that one upstairs to read the one i read of hers was lucky and even tho it was a real story and horrible what happened i got a bit bored with it

It was actually not as disturbing as I thought. I liked the theory that heaven is different for everyone, its "your" heaven, whatever makes you happy. It's a worthwhile read.

Another favorite of mine is The Pilot's Wife, by Anita Shreve. A woman's pilot husband dies in a plane crash, and she finds out he had another family in London.

Yes, the Millenium books! Although, the third one doesn't come out in the States until May, so I've only read the first two. I heard there is actually a 4th that is tied up in a lawsuit with his estate. I hope it makes it's way to print eventually.

I've read the 3rd book! it's amazing!! The first 2 books became movies too, but I think it's only in Europe, it's a Swedish production...

----> and girls, talking about chic-lit, I recomend Sophie Kinsella books, she has some really cool books!
