What's everyone reading??

What are you guys reading lately? Amy W., I saw on the GSO blog that you read a book in 24 hours and I am soooooooooo curious about which one, lol! Must have been good!!

I am reading Vanishing Act by Jodi Piccoult and I am having a hard time getting into it. the story is cool, but something is keeping me from reading it, lol!

What about you guys?
 
i think thats probably one of hers that i havent read,i do think jodi picoults get a bit tedious at times but i think that maybe cause i read to many of hers now,im reading the shopaholic series im on the 3rd one now when they marry and im literally lmao at her cause i can so relate to her
 
oh I heard those were good Karen! I should put them on my list lol! I have so many on my list it's getting ridiculous!
 
just buy a ereader there cheaper im dying to read them all so i can move on to sookie stackhouse

princess academy by shannon hale (love those easy YA books! LOL)

i know i've mentioned these before.
but i've read
hunger games

catching fire
each in less than 24 hours.
both EXCELLENT books!

i'm going to start
the book thief
tonight.
i've heard it's REALLY good.

i've got a few others here, i need to start.
eek!
but i want to scrap today..........
so they'll have to wait!
 
Currently reading Mercy by Jodi Picoult. Not one of my favorites of hers, but I'm anticipating it getting better very soon. Interesting subject matter - kind of makes me think!
 
Right now, I'm reading The Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. When the Twilight series was out, I read that in a day as well as the Harry Potter series. =)
 
I just finished:

Last Night in Twisted River; Juliet, Naked and The Hour I First Believed. If someone else has read Juliet, Naked and wants to talk about the ending, please PM me. I can't seem to decide what actually happened. LOL

I would also suggest both of the Stieg Larsson books that are out.

I just started The Story of Edgar Sawtelle which is pretty good so far.
 
I'm reading Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand right now. Just started so I'm not sure how much I really like it yet. :)
 
Did you like the Hour I First Believed? I really like his books - I have another one I want to start next (I Know This Much Is True)
 
Yes, I really liked it. If you like his style, which I really do too, you'll enjoy it. I've also read I Know This Much Is True, which was IMO a hard read, both emotionally and just in the sheer volume of detail. The Hour I First Believed really got me because it's based around the Columbine shooting. I had a few days where it was hard to let my oldest go out the door to school after I read it. I did like it better than I Know This Much Is True though.
 
I should have clarified - I did read The Hour I First Believed (and loved it). I was really hoping for a happier ending though!
 
Oh sorry! I totally misunderstood.

I Know This Much Is True has a "happier" ending but it felt really contrived to me, like it didn't fit. I'll interested to hear what you think after you read it.
 
I just read Hunger Games and Catching Fire last week - they were really great. Now I'm reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
 
I just finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lightening Thief and started the 2nd book last night (I know, I'm like a 12 year old :)) So far, they're pretty good, the movie looks amazing :)

you mean the Millenium books?? it's a Trilogy and it's a must read!!
I loved those books and it's so sad that Stieg Larsson is dead...so, no more books from him! :cry

I loved those books too... Becky Bloom is such a fun girl, I laughed so much...I confess, I love this silly books...

---> right now, I'm reading eat, pray, love...still don't know if I like it, I'm having a hard time to keep reading it...

Yes, the Millenium books! Although, the third one doesn't come out in the States until May, so I've only read the first two. I heard there is actually a 4th that is tied up in a lawsuit with his estate. I hope it makes it's way to print eventually.
 
I just finished Handle with Care by Jodi Piccoult. I started reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks but I haven't been able to get into it yet.

i'm reading these now too :) i'm on number 3 ... LOL! my nephew just finished them (he's 9 ! haha) and i told him i'd read them too before the movie! so far they are really good :)
