What would you like to learn?

@umyesh

I did this technique YEARS ago in 2012 but instead of just the sketch, part of the photo remained underneath.

Let me know if this is the look you're going for, and I'll get with Jenn @jk703 to give her the steps.

I am learning to draw whimsical faces with Karen Campbell, a mixed media artist. I never thought I could do it, but I've done two so far and I love it!!

I've been tasked with creating a new logo for my booster club. I'm using the shape of the state of Connecticut. I want to fill the shape of the state with the text but can't figure out to do it. The scrapping part used is from K Aaggard Road Trip Stitches Circle. I like this look but maybe it can be better. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

I finally remembered what it was that I keep thinking I want to know more about -- how to work with the white gesso stamps to add texture -- as with these

I'd love to work on this for you :agree
They add texture to background papers and clusters by simply dragging and dropping them. Can you let me know in what other ways you would like to use them to add texture, and I'll write/video a tutorial :beat

Did you use a font or an alpha? I’m no pro but I’m thinking you can use justified text to fill the shape side to side better? You could also try working with one line of text at a time so you can stretch it to fit since each line has a different amount of letters? I don’t know if I’m making sense or what you’ve tried already but I hope this helps at least spark some more ideas for you.

In Photoshop CC, not sure if other programs are the same, you can choose the Text option, then hold the mouse button down and then draw a square in the shape of the text box you want. When you start typing, Photoshop will fill the square as you type.

You make a shape with the pen tool. When you click to close the shape, then go to the text box and click inside of the shape you just made. Start typing and it will fill the space. That is how I did this leaf shape: (Click to enlarge)
