What would be your dream "mother's day" present?

Oh, I am sure we are talking about the gelli pads... LOL!!! If you can get it locally then even better but if not then just order it from them. I heard that not sure if it was JoAnns or Michael's was going to start carrying it, but I am not sure how true is that.

We have no clue when we are going, they keep pushing our end of school date, so seriously NO IDEA when.

the last 2 months have been horrendous. and these next few weeks look just as awful.
i want a weekend away. either just me, or maybe me and hubby. somewhere warm. preferably a beach.
where i can shove my toes into the sand while reading my book.
no kids, no illnesses, nobody needing me.
 
Top of my wish list is a new laptop. Mine is heading for the dark side. :(

Second would be the 50mm lens I was *supposed* to get for Christmas but had to use that cash from MIL to pay bills instead of buying myself an actual present like she said I should do.
 
I probably top the list of odd gift list...I just want curtains picked out for me and hung - I am struggling BIG TIME with picking out curtains for our home, and I hate spending the money on those, but we need them to finish off the house!
 
Amanda, we lived in our house for 7 or 8 years before I finally buckled down and put up curtains in our living room. I just couldn't decide and also didn't want to spend the money. I totally get it!
 
This thread is enabling me to spend money on things I didn't even know I needed until now.....geli plate, gellatos, ....

I long for sunshine. My wish would be to live somewhere where the sun shines 99% of the time (excluding sleeping hours of course).
 
i want a day.. where everyone else does the dishes, and laundry, and cleans the house... and doesn't even look at me :p

yeah it was back in march,i had chocolates and tulip flowers,i joke about the mac book but we dont buy big just a token present off the children and time with them is all i need

Nice to know I'm not the only one! We've been in our house 3 years now, we have a lot of windows and I haven't purchased a single curtain. It's so overwhelming! And expensive. And it seems like I'm always saving up for something else for the house... It seems ridiculous to complain about having a big house, but seriously it's too big for my taste and I find it overwhelming to keep up with. So my Mother's Day pick would probably be something house related, like getting rid of the ugly carpet and putting in new floors. Or a bathroom remodel...is that too much to ask? :)

Go to SEARS. I know I wouldn't have picked Sears either, but they have really nice thick, blackouts at really nice SALE prices (most of the time).
 
maybe we should do a follow up thread to this the day after Mother's day.. with a "what did you get?" LOL!!!
