What would be your dream "mother's day" present?

I want the Faber Castell Mix & Match gelatos and stamper's big brushes and a girls weekend to play with them

Stitch Fix is like having an online personal stylist. You sign up...fill out a style inventory of your preferences, what you'd like to try, don't like, etc., then schedule a "fix". A box of clothes (usually around 5 items) is shipped to you to try. You try them on in the "convenience" of your home. Keep what you like and send back what you don't in a postage paid envelope. There is a $20 styling fee which is taken out of the price of whatever you decide to keep and I think there's a 25% discount if you keep everything.

I signed up and got my first box a couple of weeks ago. It was fun to try! I actually only kept one item from my box, though.

Well, before the geli plate, people used to use just a big acrylic board. I have 8x10 boards of acrylic for this purpose. I have more than I can use at the same time, so I am willing to let one go. LOL!!!! They work the same as the geli plates but they are HARD and have not "give" like the geli plate does. If you listen to the geli plate video, she refers to them.
 
They are like pastels but in a lipstick form, that is my best description of them.

I'd love to be able to afford to take my whole family somewhere on a plane and do a vacation with just the four of us. My boys have been begging to go anywhere that we can fly on an airplane and we never seem to be able to scrape together enough money. Our vacations are still awesome and fun, but we usually end up camping and driving.

plan it for the 2nd week of July and we will meet you on the beach! We are not rich or famous, but my hubs job sends him there for a conference every year, and we squeeze every bit of SanDiego out of that week!

now you got me googling geli plates.
I don't ask for too much, though I do have a few things on my wish list and have been hinting for DH to take a peek.

I have tried to do the hotel thing over iNSD or DSD for the past few years. Something has happened every year to keep me from it, this year is no different. Our community garage sale is on iNSD weekend. What were these people thinking? :hissy

I need to google "geli plate" now...I'm intrigued.

My biggest wish....one day with my mom who is gone now. I still miss her.

Money-wise....I wish someone would pay all my bills this month...Ugh...we're drowning in all these extra expenses lately.

Gift-wise...as a photographer I wish I could get a photo booth for weddings. They are darned expensive and I just can't spend that kind of money for one....so I have a homemade setup for now.

Time-wise....I wish I could have about 2 wks of spare time so I could organize my digi stuff on ACDSEE. It's going to take about a billion hrs to tag my 100+ gig stash.

Health-wise....I wish all the exercise I do would get rid of the tummy pouch.

Dalis - you are going to be responsible for my new obsession! I saw a couple of vids about using gelli plates and now I know I need one LOL. I would love to create some papers for my cardmaking. I'm going to have to order one of these when I have a few extra bucks!

I saw a video on using the gelatos for stamping with foam stamps and it had this really pretty watercolor effect and now I want them badly LOL
 
My head is swimming with ideas now LOL. I want to use my foam stamps, rubber and acrylic stamps, paints, mist, brushes, combs....oh....I can't wait to get one of these and play!
 
Hmmm...never made my own digi paper before. If I created my own 12x12 paper pattern and took a full resolution photo of it and saved as jpeg I could save it as paper for digi scrapping, right?

Yes, or you could make it 6x6 and scan it at a super high resolution.
 
Ah Dalis...I don't know whether to thank you or curse you LOL. I have this stuck in my head now and I just have to get one so I can make some paper patterns. Luckily I'll be at our place in the States next month so can order it over there and save on shipping costs to Canada. I'm going to look into this. Any recommendations on where to buy or should I just get it from the manufacturer.
