Just Breathe tattooed on my left wrist
I should do that, just because I can never remember how to spell breathe, is it with an e? or without? drives me crazy!
If I had it tattooed, I would think is that just breath or breathe, and it would cause me angst..bhahah
it's listening to a few minutes of an audiobook.
I am a huge fan of audio books, I love that I can multi task without guilt! How I even more so enjoy it, when different voices are used. the Divergent series is fantastic, btw!
time slips away just enough for it to work it’s magic.
that is indeed magical, the slipping away...sigh with happy

I daydream a lot as a coping mechanism for anxiety. It's a little like reading a book only I'm imagining the scenes in my head. I have plans to get all my daydreams on 'paper' (laptop) this coming year as part of my 40 Things Before 40.

I also scrap/surf the Internet/watch a show or movie before bed almost every single night as a way to 'unwind' from the day. From the time my feet hit the floor at 7 am until I put my kids to bed at 8 pm (and then catch up on chores and get ready for the next school/work day), I'm going-going-going and with other people. I'm a super big INFJ so 'me' time is super-duper important to me.

Chocolate. Friend time. Starbucks- very berry hibiscus no berries. Painting. Scrapping. Sometimes, the bathtub. I used to have a bath every Friday but I have fallen out of the habit and don't really have time for that anymore. I should try to get back into that habit. I love having a nice soak all by myself!! There's a hot tub in my back yard, too. I guess I could climb in there sometimes too!! But, I never have in 5 years, lol...

Huggles!!

Yoga definitely works for me. I take 10 minutes to do some breathing and basic exercises and always feel so much better after. Reading is another great escape for me too.

I had a counselor just tell me, the reason I clean and organize in stress times is because although I can not fix the situation, I can make my house adhere. My children maybe out of control, but my utensils are all in order. It isn’t OCD, but a coping mechanism for me.
The whole family knows, the entire house can be in disarray, but my living room is not for leaving things. It doesn’t have much decorations. It is my space of relaxation. Probably why Christmas decorations begin to bother me.

Yes! I think that's why I like to tidy things up sometimes too. I may not be able to fix something stressful but I can fix the messy kitchen, and that helps.
