Well I just saw The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix with Kurt Russell and all I can say is I loved it, and I cried at the end too! LOL I am really sappy lately... (I cried at Christopher Robin too!)

Oh, I do love these two! And I totally get the planning your schedule around when something was on TV. I love the songs in Polar Express, too. Those are both great movies! It's a tie between Charlie Brown Christmas and Polar Express. I could watch both movies all the time. I would say of the two, Charlie Brown is my most favorite because as a child I remember seeing the previews of the movie airing on TV and would make sure to make it at the time it was going to show.
I have never heard of Mixed Nuts! I’m going to have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!I have a long list of Christmas movies I love, but my absolute favorite - and one that I never see mentioned when this topic comes up - is Mixed Nuts. It's written and directed by Nora Ephron (she also did You've Got Mail) and it's hilarious and fun!
Thanks for the review! I have it in my Netflix queue, so I’ll watch that next. I’ve been doing too much scrapping this month that it’s taken ahold of my free time.Well I just saw The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix with Kurt Russell and all I can say is I loved it, and I cried at the end too! I remember that one! I thought we had it, but I guess I just remembered seeing it as a kid. I did look on YouTube and it is also uploaded there.I personally love Year Without a Santa Claus. I even hunted it down on DVD, no easy feat.
OOh - that means I need to go watch the Hallmark channel! I do love those movies...I love the cheesy Hallmark Xmas movies. They've started airing the 2018 ones this past wkend so I've been PVR'ing them. I also love The Christmas Story. We love the comedies so Xmas With the Kranks, Elf and The Santa Clause 1 and 2.

Oh, I love that movie! DH & I love to say to each other, "Are you leaning?"Not necessarily thought of as a Christmas movie, but it's set during Christmastime, is While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. Clara and I watched it randomly a while back and I forgot how much I liked that movie!
Buzzfeed apparently thinks it's a Christmas movie as I just found this article.... 23 Reasons "While You Were Sleeping" Should Be Your Favourite Christmas Movie.
You can get him Die Hard to watch. It technically IS a Christmas movie. And you could watch it with him, too - I will watch anything with Alan Rickman! Its the only time of the year I just love sappy cheesy movies! My poor hubs, it's not his cup of tea LOL. I'll have to watch some on my laptop with earbuds to give him a break![]()
I've never heard of The Family Stone. I had to go check it out on IMDb. Oh my gosh - it looks like fun!I think my fave is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation... but I LOVE ALL OF THEM! Elf, The Family Stone, Polar Express, Home Alone... all the Hallmark... I just love it all!
Yes, we've watched Die Hard and all the others too.You can get him Die Hard to watch. It technically IS a Christmas movie. And you could watch it with him, too - I will watch anything with Alan Rickman!

Very cool!!
Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas? I can honestly say I've never heard of that one!
It's a book I read constantly as a child along with Mr. Willoughby's Christmas Tree. They both are under my tree every year. It was exciting when the Muppets made Jug Band Christmas. It's really cute.
You can rent it on Amazon Prime.
I just put Mr. Willoughby's Christmas Tree on hold at the Library. I saw it on a Children's Christmas read-aloud list. I'm excited to read it to my kids.
