I love Christmas movies, but tiring of the ones I own. And most of the ones on streaming services look like they’ve run away from the Hallmark Channel. Not that it’s a bad thing, but I’m looking for some more variety.

So...
What is your favorite movie, and why?

I love, love, love The Holiday! I love it because.....Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, and Jack Black...lol. I love the story lines, and the music, and the accents. I was even thinking of watching it today :)

I did notice that there were lots of Hallmark-ish movies on Netflix. Although, most of them are PG which is good when trying to find a movie to watch with my 7 year old!

I love the Santa Claus series with Tim Allen. And the Meet the Santa's series. They are just fun and homey. There is a movie called Prancer that is really good, too. A good movie to watch with kids. I think the sequel to it is Prancer Returns. I love the old movies like the remake of Miracle on 34th Street and the old version of It's a Wonderful Life. So many good movies!!

Darn- I don’t have that one! They had it on sale Black Friday at Target. I did see it in Netflix last year. I’ll put that one on my list.

I have the Santa Clause movies. Love them! I’ve not heard about the meet the Santa’s series. Maybe I’ve seen them but can’t remember. And I’ve never see the Prancer movies, either. Guess I’ve a few more to check out!

@busywoman139 I also enjoy The Holiday.

Possibly my most favourite Christmas type movie would be James Stewart's "It's a Wonderful Life" which has such a great message to it.

Many years ago I saw a short movie about the story of the poor couple who the woman sold her hair to buy him a chain for his pocket watch and he sold his pocket watch to buy her a lovely clip for her long hair. I do not know what it was called or have ever seen it on TV again.

Oh, that story makes me ugly cry! The name of it’s on the tip of my tongue. I’ll temember it as soon as I post this message.

Oh, it’s the Gift of the Magi!

I absolutely love Christmas Vacation!! But for more sentimental, I love Miracle on 34th Street...the original! I also enjoy the Home Alone movies and The Santa Clause movies. Christmas with the Kranks is another pretty good one.

I’ve never seen Christmas Vacation! Can you believe it? I guess it because I have a hard time watching that type of comedy. Maybe I’ll get through it this year (I’ve only made it through the first 10 minutes). And I’ve never seen Christmas with the Krsnks. It’s in either Netflix or Amazon prime and it’s in my watch list.

Also:
Four Christmases (Vince Vaughn & Reese Witherspoon)
Adam Sandler’s 8 Crazy Nights (animated)
It’s A Wonderful Life
and
White Christmas (Bing Crosby & Rosemary Clooney)

I did watch a few of the Netflix Christmas movies today. The Holiday Calendar - kinda cheesy but also cute. The main character was a photographer so that was fun :) Also watched The Christmas Chronicles and the whole family enjoyed that one :)

Yes, The Holiday! I watch it every time it's on. I also love White Christmas & just about any '80s characters cartoons.
Another vote for The Holiday!

White Christmas is my all-time favorite. I love that movie so much I watch it year round. Sigh... and It’s a Wonderful life makes me cry happy tears every time!

I did just watch the Christmas Calendar. It was cute. There’s also another one called the Princess Switch, I believe? They’re advertising it as a Christmas flick. I’ll have to check it out.

Haven’t seen 8 crazy nights or four christmases or the Christmas chronicles. Gotta put them on my list!

Hands down.. It's a Wonderful Life... so true how many lives we touch and don't even realize. I cry every time I watch it. It was on last night.. I have on DVD but I recorded it anyway with commercial so I can watch it during sscrapping :)

White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie and my favorite Christmas song. I like many of the movies already mentioned, but also up there for me is Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire - the movie that debuted the song White Christmas.

It's a tie between Charlie Brown Christmas and Polar Express. I could watch both movies all the time. I would say of the two, Charlie Brown is my most favorite because as a child I remember seeing the previews of the movie airing on TV and would make sure to make it at the time it was going to show.

I have a long list of Christmas movies I love, but my absolute favorite - and one that I never see mentioned when this topic comes up - is Mixed Nuts. It's written and directed by Nora Ephron (she also did You've Got Mail) and it's hilarious and fun!
