i guess for me it depends. i'll usually put a ton of pics on a page anyway, so the templates and stuff are a great option. if i have way more pics than can fit on a page, i'll do a mini album... or not so mini... just a separate album dedicated to that event. i usually try to keep those less complicated so i can scrap them faster... not so fancy shmancy. i have also been known to just stick several 4x6 photos on a 12x12 layout, print it, and stick it in my album behind the main layout i scrapped for an event. that's a quick & easy fix too (or printing the 4x6s and sliding them into sleeves behind the main page like someone else suggested). I think I've used all of these approaches.

I always seem to have MANY pictures and I first think about the ones that have to be on the page... and then I use templates. There are some freebies out there and I bought a few. Sometimes I also lift other beautiful pages with tons of pictures on it... I just need to be inspired
