you have a lot of pictures from an event and you want to scrap them all? Do you have a great template for lots of photos? Do a few pages? or simple edit down(gulp)?

Well, for our camping trips this past summer I had thousands of photos (literally). I made probably 20ish pages - I'll have to count, but I did a ton. I still didn't scrap nearly all of them though, even though I put a lot of each page for some of them.

So, I try to scrap all the ones I like, even if that means tons of pages. :)

I just went back and quick counted, and I stopped at 35.....so even more than I thought. BUT, lots of those were portraits of my kids that I did during our trip, so not sure that those count necessarily.

I love to scrap big events and pages with lots of photos! :) I almost always use a template for these and I have been known to add even more pictures to those. I think I once got 100 pictures on 4 pages! :) But I also love to make mini-albums from events. I just finished my Comic Con album, printed the 8x8 pages - about 20 of them - and put them in SEI preservation albums, which I jus tlove because I can decorate the cover. My next project is going to be a book for my Grandma's 80th birthday party using the new BOYC kit! I wrote a tutorial for another website about my approach for multiphoto pages, which I can try to dig up for you if you'd like! :)

poo that would be wonderful thank you.

Heather...I'm in love with Lili's photo collages

I'm not sure if you're planning on using the photos for your PL pages or just for any of your layouts, but I love using these for my 4x6 slots and i've put several photos in them, or some photos and papers.

Also, you can do a whole page with small size photos with Val's new page protector set:

I plan on using these a lot!!

If it's a lot of photos, I use templates for sure, otherwise I go crazy. Ditto what Debra said! I've done a few last month using Val's protectors or Lili's templates:

And one with a template by Amy M:

OK, I'm pm'ing the link to you. :) If anyone else wants the link, let me know!

Templates...templates...templates! The other thing you can do, if you just run out of time (I wouldn't know anyone that would happen to ;) ) you could just print them all out as 4x6 or 3.5 x 5 and slap them in a photo album and call them done! There is no shame in doing that. I did that for a family vacation to California several years ago. I scrapped some of my favorite photos from the vacation, but took the vast majority and put them in an album for the family to enjoy.

If I have enough photos, I will make a photobook. Otherwise, I use a template for lots of photos. I have this template available for free for my facebook fans, and I used it to scrap Christmas this year. You can easily delete the Christmas title, and the template will work for any event.

I like using templates these days, but if it doesn't have enough photos for me, I tuck in a few photo strips to fill the blank spots with photos instead of white space.

I usually browse the frame section to see what fits the style of my page:

These are a fun and contemporary way to add a few more photos to your page:

And I'm going to be checking these out as well:

Everyone's ideas are so great! I just love this place.

I think mini books are great for lots of pictures. My DD is doing Project Life and we ended up with a ton of photos from Kennedy's 2nd b-day, so she made a 5 x 7 photo book at Shutterfly and is sliding it into one of her PL page protectors.

I have used Krista's template about a zillion times each for camping and vacations where I have tons of pictures that just HAVE to be scrapped. I leave one space blank for journaling and call it a page.

I am also a huge fan of Lili's 4x6 photo collages. Lauren also has these photo breakdowns that are great:

and I use them with some of the templates that have already been mentioned as well as this pack from Sara:

Recently, I have done alot of multi photo layouts using those products if you want to have a look at my gallery.

ETA: completely forgot to add Amy's Full On Templates that Karen linked too. I have used those a ton too!

I can never decide which pictures to use, because they all mean so much to me. I usually scrap them all and expand the photo album to the max lol. I too use a ton of templates.

Karen....love your layouts with Krista's templates!! I have those templates too, so I'm going to have to use them next time I've got oodles of photos!!

What a great thread! (Well, not great for my wallet, as I have just added several new things to my cart). Everyone is so imaginative! :)

I use Karah's stuck together frames quite often.

The bottom centre one from this set I use the most:
