"What do you do?" | Pad Patter 4.21.16

I usually say I'm an engineering program manager. If they ask for more, I tell them it's like herding cats or conducting an orchestra. Keeping folks on track to complete a project and making sure the correct parts are playing at the right time.

My day job- "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you." (I work on Department of Defense software stuffs...)

My self-employed job- I have a laser cutting shop.

Inevitably that second one has people asking me what exactly I cut, and when I try to explain that I cut embellishments for scrapbooking, it all kind of goes downhill from there- ha! They don't quite get it. :)

i used to work in the operating room, now i have a teenager with autism and another at university who seem to require constant support

My response is an Exercise Physiologist, Registered Dietetian and mother to 4 energetic boys. I am a professor at a college and help run our private practice (my husband is a counselor and I do private practice nutrition counseling). It is a lot but teaching on a college schedule gives me flexibility to be mostly on my kids schedule So when do I find time to scrap? Any free time I have:). Sometimes when I should be grading or doing bills but I really try to be good and scrap after my real work:)
