What are you good at? |Pad Patter 4.22

Since all my ducklings are taking new steps in the next 2 months (1 wedding, 1 college grad, 1 high school grad) - and doing that quite successfully, I will say that I am good mother. I even mother some other people's ducks too.

I am a good wife and am working on getting even better since it will soon be just him and me forever and ever.

I am a good administrator, organizer, leader - when I want to be, or even when there is no apparent leader. That has gotten me into trouble more than once.

I am a good listener.
I am loyal.
I am a good cook.
I am pleasant to be around.

I love this thread. I think most feel like I do...it is uncomfortable to toot your own horn. I love to complement and acknowledge other's attributes and achievements but feel braggy when it's about myself. But....here goes....I'll play along.

  • I think I'm generally calm and can deal with emergencies well.
  • I'm open-minded, always looking at both sides of the story.
  • I'm easy going, easily adaptable to new situations (I might stress a bit but always figure things out and go with it).
  • I'm proud of my scrappy achievements, I've worked hard in the last 5 yrs to learn techniques, develop my style and have improved (a bit) at journaling.
  • I am a good (not great) cook and am proud of my adapting to low carb cooking/baking these last few yrs.
  • I can type 130 wpm, it's served me well, as I am a medical transcriptionist.
  • I worked hard and became a wedding/portrait photographer for many years and am proud of my technique and compositional expertise.
Ok, I did it....I tooted my own horn. It did feel braggy and I was tempted to delete LOL.

i'm pretty good at metaphorical juggling, that's a skill right?!

I might have to scrap this....

I make great cookies (even thought about opening a "cookie" truck)
I am almost always on time
I am an excellent gift giver
I am honest
I am a good driver (although I don't like driving in the snow)
I am a good mom, grandmother and wife
I am dependable
I am a positive person and don't complain (much)

It is good to look at the good side of things when I usually think about what I am not doing right! Thanks for the inspiration!
