what are you getting your SO's for christmas?

seriously. i'm asking because I need ideas. not because I have a brilliant plan myself.

I asked what he wanted yesterday and he said you (aw) but that is not actually helpful.. he then proceeded to say nothing, in typical man fashion.

I'm going to buy him legos at this point. I only know how to shop for my kid :p :giggle

the halloween party i went to this year.. chick showed up rolled in saran wrap. was awkward. lol

I'm not going to be super helpful either. At this point I have no clue. Although mine would probably like LEGO as a gift.

Mine wants a new hunting bow so unless your SO hunts then I'm no help either. ;)

The thing of it is, if they don't tell you want they want or at least give you some kind if idea, they can't be mad if they don't particularly like what they get. ;). It's not our fault that men are stubborn. ;)

I have bought my husband legos numerous times. I bought him some again this year (with the guise that they're also for the baby, who obviously can't go anywhere near them for a long while). I'm buying him the parts to replace his desktop computer this year, but that's probably not going to help you with ideas. :)

If I were you, La, I'd ask my parents if they could watch Ce for a weekend of your/their choice and then set up a 'bed & breakfast' at your place for you & him. You can make him a cute GC with your product. More than anything, I'm sure he'd appreciate some time alone with you.

Rick is really difficult. He doesn't have a lot of hobbies. He really enjoys sports things though. When we were in Seattle, he got a Seahawks jersey, Seahawks and Mariners jackets, shirts and some Husky stuff too. If I bought him tickets to a football game, and actually went with him, he'd think that was the best gift (because I hate football, but would be willing to share it with him).

I'm no help. DH always wants DVDs and only DVDs. If I buy anything else he returns it to buy...you guessed it DVDs. After 11 years I've given up on surprising him.

We are actually running away for the weekend in a couple hours otherwise I'd totally do that for Christmas. Men are difficult.

you are going to laugh. i am getting dh tires!

i also bought him a boogie board, a meat thermometer, car cleaning stuff, a t-shirt from his favorite brewery, and a soup cookbook.

eclectic much?

I am getting DH a travel mug. He stole my fave to bring it to work and broke it. :( He's been wanting a tablet, so I'm pretty sure we're actually going to get him one tomorrow but we'll say it's his Christmas gift. And since we're moving this summer (or before), I don't want to buy anything expensive or big. But really, he'd be happy with a 6-pack of his fave beer and a promise from me that he can have a whole Saturday to himself (you know, so he can watch whatever TV show he wants and no diaper changing duties lol). :) If we had money, I'd buy him this. But it'd be for both of us. I love TV lol!

My husband is impossible too. But he needs stuff, a new suit, new dress shoes, and he said he'd like a nice watch. So I'm probably going to do one or more of those. It depends on whether i can get him into a store to try on clothes. But really his present this year is vacation -- the first "real" vacation he's had in more than 3 years. So we're going to Disney World (his favorite) for 5 days and doing a couple of the cool adventure tours, the Wild Africa safari and the Finding Nemo snorkeling tour. So that's a big gift for both of us.

And tube socks. :))

We were recently talking about the movie The Matrix, so I thought I would get him that on DVD. He's a big "I'm an adult, when I want something I buy it, I don't need Christmas presents" kind of guy.

Last year I got him a toy light saber to play with our son.

hehe! :lmao I read that you were going to buy him leggings. HA!!!

I usually end up shopping on Amazon and getting him toys for his office. He's an animator, and all of their offices are crammed with robots, movie toys, figures, you name it. He loves Ray Harryhausen, etc. He's bought himself two alien 12" dolls that were featured in an old Outer Limits show (Ikar & one of Ikar's soldiers). Heck, he buys himself Star Trek ship toys! So I think I'm covered there. If I could find him something cool from Dr. Who, like a Tardis, I think he'd love that.
