What are you baking?

I did all my baking last weekend. Delivered it to all our friend and neighbors. Currently we are polishing off "the leftovers" I made:
oreo lollipops
chocolate covered twist pretzels
Carmel and chocolate covered rod pretzels
sugar cookies
monster cookies
caramels
fudge {which turned to sugar since i had never made it and didn't know what I was doing}

I feel like I'm missing something else but I can't remember and like I said our leftovers are gone. Oh and on christmas day I will be making cinnamon rolls.

I don't usually do any baking as we're trying to live a healthier lifestyle and baking usually = sugar and fat = me eating too much of what I bake! But today, I made these reindeer cupcakes with my 6 year old son. Cake and frosting were straight from a packet but it was rich mud cake and we made a big fat mess and our reindeers are a little on the weird looking side but Ryan had a blast helping with them!

Tomorrow it's shortbread and bought these fancy icing tubes that you can decorate your biscuits with handwriting or pretty drawings. The kids can write people's names on them for Christmas Day.

I *hate* baking. However, I found a recipe for Better Than Sex cake and decided I had to try it. And since my aunt's birthday is Christmas Eve and her son's is Christmas day...what better excuse to make a cake!? :)

Shannon, you will not be disappointed with that cake--it is yummy!

I spent about 3 hours last night making peppermint shortbread, cowboy cookies, dipping my chocolate cake balls and some pretzels. Today, I have to bake my ginger cookies (dough is chilling in fridge) and then tomorrow I will be making a birthday cake for Jesus for tomorrow night with family.

We always make so much, it is ridiculous, but it is fun. We are going to make up plates to deliver to friends this afternoon. When we get together with my sister and parents, we typically set up an extra card table in the corner of a room for all of our tins of Christmas goodies.

Just made a batch of shortbread biscuits in Christmas shapes. Will decorate tomorrow morning with the kids as they're at their Dad's till late tonight. And have a loaf of banango bread (banana/mango combo with walnuts) cooking right now as had loads of bananas to use up. Think I'm done now as it's 30 degrees celcius here today and too hot with the oven on!
