I've been doing some holiday baking today. I just made:

Fudge found here. I've never made fudge before. I just put it in the fridge. What I scrapped off the pan tasted good. :)

And am working on Monster Cookies right now.

Hopefully I can hide them away in the fridge until Christmas Eve.

Well I had high hopes, but nothing has gotten done yet, so I'm not holding my breath. Especially as tomorrow is Girls Day Out and I sure am not missing that in order to bake LOL

But, I have ingredients for: Oreo balls, cherry coconut macaroons, peppermint bark, and peanut butter bars.

Those sound yummy, Angie. I'm sure they will taste good after Christmas, too. :)

Is your recipe for peanut butter bars on the web somewhere?

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 bag chocolate chips (I've used both 6oz and 12oz, works either way, just depends how much chocolate you want lol)
1/4 cup butter

Mix powdered sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter and 1/4 cup melted butter. Spread in wax paper lined 13x9 pan. Melt chocolate with other 1/4 cup butter; spread on peanut butter mixture. Chill and cut into squares.

I made pretzel turtles (melt a rolo on a mini pretzel and stick a toasted pecan half down into the rolo...super simple) and peppermint bark yesterday. Today I made drop hermits (a spice cookie with raisins and nuts) and I'm also making something similar to your monster cookies (they're in the oven right now), except no peanut butter and with oats, m&ms, cocoa krispies and white chocolate chips..they are so yummy! DH and DD are also supposed to make fudge today..we'll see if that happens.

I am making party mix, red velvet cake balls and chocolate cake balls, White choc/peppermint cookies (gina's recipe!), peppermint shortbread, and ginger cookies!

I have the cake balls made, they just need to be dipped, but other than that, everything else has to be done tonight and the next few days.

Becky and Sarah, those sound soooo good. Now I want to try some new things! :)

For sure I'm going to try those bars, Angie. We love chocolate and peanut butter. Thanks for sharing!

I am making cheesecake for Christmas Eve and rootbeer float cupcakes for Christmas Day. I'm also going to bake some cookies - hopefully tonight - chocolate chips and almond apricot chews. :)

I made some Mayan Chocolate Chex and Hot Buttered Yum Chex mixes. I have a double-batch of sugar cookies I'm working on baking/frosting. I made a regular fudge and a mint fudge and am supposed to make a dark chocolate pecan fudge tonight. I have dough in the fridge for Santa's Whiskers and Angel Thumbprint cookies that need to be baked off tomorrow. On Friday, I'll be making chocolate and pumpkin pies and then will make homemade rolls for our dinner on Christmas Eve. Then I think I will be baked out.

Of course my DD is a baker, but does she do it at home? Heck no. LOL.

Reading about everyone's baking is making my tummy growl. You guys can really whip up some delicious stuff!

Last week I did almond cream cheese cookies, chocolate chip cookies, ginger snaps and two batches of peppermint marshmallows. Tomorrow I'm doing two batches of ginger snaps, another batch of peppermint marshmallows and snickerdoodles.

I made pizzelles and the Nieman Marcus Chocolate Chip oatmeal cookies. I don't plan on making any others because I have no self control around cookies. They are small and delicious- how bad can they really be, right? But then I eat a whole dozen!

Tomorrow is baking day for me: Peppermint Meltaway Cookies, Peanut Butter Bars, Cheesecake Bars, and Ginger Cookies. I am cheating and buying Nanimo Bars and Buttertarts

I have done a ton of baking since I got home!! Did snowflake sugar cookies today. Got them outlined and flooded, I'm going to pipe n a contrasting color on them tomorrow.

I've also made meyer lemon and fresh cranberry scones, cheesecake swirled brownies, potato bagels, cranberry orange muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and parmesan crackers.

I think I'm going to do banana cranberry bread tomorrow as well as cheddar biscuits.

Wow . . . I'm so impressed ladies!! I've done NOTHING, NADA . . . NO BAKING yet! My work schedule and the arrival of a new granddaughter have kept me from the kitchen. Half day tomorrow and then off til Tuesday, so I'll be scrambling to catch up. I'm most excited for chocolate dipped pretzels . . . not really baking, but they get the biggest oh's and ah's when packaged pretty!

You all are amazing! So many yummy things.

Congrats on you new granddaughter, Lori!

I've been busy since this weekend! I've made:

3 batches of puppy chow
Peanut butter blossoms
2 Batches of rolo turtles
Cranberry oatmeal cookies
Sea salt truffles (pioneer woman recipe)
Thin mint truffles
Lemon muddy buddies
Peanut butter bars
Tangerine vanilla bean marmalade

I still want to make dog treats for all the dogs in the family and neighborhood, Chubby hubby bars, marshmallows, and one more batch each of rolo turtles and peanut butter bars, and candied bacon cashews.

I think I'm making up for last year when I couldn't do anything! LOL!

oh my gosh this thread is making my mouth water!!

no baking for me yet. i DO have the stuff to make my hamburger cookies... we were going to do that last weekend but ran out of time.

i don't usually bake a ton because DH is diabetic, and 2 of my kids are very health-conscious because of gymnastics. so usually a batch of cookies around here gets partially eaten and partially tossed out.

That being said, I'll probably do some gingerbread cookies, maybe some chocolate chip or some kindof cookie bar before the kids go back to school. Not sure yet really.

Ohhhh... yummie... everyone! Sounds like everyone has been baking up a storm! Me... I've made Chex Mix, cookies and slow gin slush. And tomorrow my Emma and I are going to make chocolate holiday candies on a stick; Definetely a candit moment.

Happy baking all! :-)

I haven't made half as much I normally do but I have made Butterscotch Peanut butter marshmallow bars... VERY YUMMY! As well as gingerbread cookies and chocolate spiders...
