Weekend Plans

Then he started feeling shy about being a boy dancer, he's 8...But he got out there & tried. They asked him how he felt after class & he committed right away. I can't tell you how excited I am to see him out there again.

That is so awesome!!!! Kennedy wanted to take dance, but then the girls made fun of him during his first class, so he freaked out and refused to go back. :( He was a lot younger then, so we're going to retry him at the Y with some dance classes they have there. We'll see.

I went to Pinner's Conference! I met Becky Higgins, and then Tangie Baxter! Totally fan girled... probably scared her into thinking I was a stalker... bahahahaha. Today, I took my daughter with me, and we did Tangie's Junque Journal class. So fun :)

So. Very. Jealous.

I even took a 2 hour nap today - I suppose that will bite me in the backside tonight when I try to sleep! LOL!

I'm jealous of the nap too! I can always sleep. Even if I take a long nap. I'm lucky like that. :)

My daughter went to Vegas (semi work-related) this weekend and will be back late Tuesday night. I got stuck at home doing her laundry. LOL. We had a pretty relaxed weekend though. Nothing too exciting. Grandma stuff most of Saturday. Keeping Kennedy under control. Doing some funny snap chats with him to cheer him up from missing mom. Then Hubby finally knuckled under and bought an old/used truck today. Yay. We've needed one for a LONG time.

AND... since he bought the truck, it was the perfect chance for me to get a new bike so we'd actually have a way to transport it home. LOL. I got a new blazing flamingo pink bike (to be picked up tomorrow). The only downside is the weather is yukky, and I won't probably get a chance to ride it until next spring. Ugh. I ended up getting a cheaper version of my former (stolen) bike in case this one gets stolen too.

The color of this one isn't right, but...

Our weekend was kind of a blur. Lol. Friday I finally had time to go for a walk with my walking buddy. Saturday was got up early and all of us went to a 5K that is sponsored by the company my hubby and I work for. my boys both wanted to run it and wanted to beat their Dad. They both did and my oldest even got a 3rd place medal for his age group. Then we left there and ran off to soccer and then we went out for lunch with my MIL, SIL, BIL and cute nephew who were in town for the weekend. After that my hubby and I went to try to find some beach glass, but got drenched and found nothing for the first time all year. O.o I pretty much fell into bed that night. Sunday we had bible study and then church and then took my Mom out for her birthday for lunch and then went back to my parents house for a visit all afternoon. We went home and cleaned the house and then had friend come over to start re-watching Game of Thrones from the beginning. Again... I fell into bed last night. Phew!

So fun! I saw some pictures of Becky Higgins getting ready for the conference and thought about you being there. How totally awesome that you got to do a junque journal class with Tangie! PICTURES PLEASE! :)

Unfortunately, I only have one picture of "during class" (it's already on my Instagram feed, if you wanted to look), and it's of my daughter's hands helping Grandma with her JJ. Otherwise, I was busy making my own! I will take a picture of what I left with, though... add that in the gallery.

It was so awesome to hear the 2-3 ladies next to me, who clearly hadn't ever heard of art journaling or anything similar... I just kept hearing them exclaim over and over, "this is so therapeutic!" And I was very happy to hear it. I tried to be as helpful to them as possible, because they were clearly learning something new, but it was such a joy to hear it!
