What does everyone have going on this weekend? Lots of fun things? Busy work? Pursuit of passions? Spending time with friends or family? Dish the dirt!

We had a fun night on Friday. We've started doing craft cocktails with some friends while the kids play. Last night was Caramel Apple Mules. Delish. Then, we all went out for pizza. We had early volleyball this morning then we went shopping for some fall leggings and sweaters for Julia. DH and I are going to the neighbors' tonight for a chili fest. Tomorrow is church. Then, my girlfriends and I are going to see some houses on the local Parade of Homes. After that, I have to do a trial run of Halloween slime for my daughter's 4th grade party. In between of all that stuff, I will be working on the Polly call of course. Ohhhh - and I am really hoping to scrap a page with the awesome BYOC!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! :woot

Rainy weekend here so no plans. I'm determined to go for a drive and see the leaves change color. Looks like I'm just going to have to grab the next sunny day.
School got delayed a week so I don't have that although I'll work on it and try to get ahead. So scrapping plans for me -- had a day to be remembered yesterday so wrote up the story and making some scrap pages to go with it.

We're at our trailer this wkend so even though it is rainy and windy out there, we are warm and snuggly inside and watching home improvement shows this morning while I scrap and play online. We'll head into town soon for some shopping and stop in at the casino. Tomorrow we'll head home and attend a family dinner (it's our Canadian thanksgiving on Monday but will have dinner on Sunday) that I don't have to cook...yay! I will gladly bring dessert (store bought) and ingredients for ham glaze....but like I said....no cooking on my part. I will take some candid shots as Bailey makes her first Thanksgiving dinner. She's so excited to be hosting a dinner in her little apartment (she just moved into her first apartment).

My daughter's school had a discount day last night at a local pumpkin patch so my mom & I took the kids right after school. I'm usually too cheap to pay $$$ for something like that but the discount was more than 50% off + my son was free. My daughter was so tickled to see 3 of her friends there and get to do the jumping pillow, pedal cars, cow train, etc. My son was most thrilled by the sand & 'yuh-yulls' (what he calls all construction vehicles) to play with.

My mom bought the kids pumpkins but just some from the already picked piles in the front so I might have to find another patch in the area to take them to to get some good pictures. Obviously, that is priority #1. :giggle

We haven't done much today. I tried to get people to go apple picking with us but everyone was busy. We've been hanging around the house after running errands this morning and having lunch. We'll probably run over to the park or something while it's still sunny outside.

We'll have church tomorrow morning, and then I don't know what we'll do after that. We'll see how the weather turns out. The leaves are changing but they're not at peak yet so a fall photo shoot is still at least 1 or 2 weekends away.

Rain, rain, rain here...but we needed it badly!! We haven't had any to speak of for 2 or 3 months. Football game was cancelled so I am catching up on this neglected house and getting my hair done today! Tomorrow is up in the air. We might go see the new grandson if the kids are home...they've been out running around and showing him off a lot.

If it's not rainy, dark skies can make the leaves really pop in color.

We unpacked the last boxes this morning. And walked to the Redbox. So now I can be lazy. I'm thinking of breaking in the soaking tub, and getting some scrapping down. Homemade pizza and breadsticks for dinner, so I need to start the dough.
Church tomorrow. Then nothing until work (dh) and school (munchkin) on Monday.

Good point on dark skies. I just don't want rain, mostly because I'm exploring so new roads.
Homemade pizza -- yum! Sounds like a good weekend.

this weekend is one of my fave's of the year - one of the big charities here run a second hand book fair - books are donated to them (all genres, mixed conditions) and they sell them at bargain prices - it's run twice a year near us and i easily spend a few hours (usually twice, once with the kids and once by myself) pouring over titles set up on table after table, and picking up stuff from my book wishlist (that's probably as long as my TLP wishlist!) So I'm just back from my kid-free trip and am a happy girl
and it's DH's b'day tmrw so we're going out to dinner tonite (yay! not cooking & washing up! again happy girl)
plus it's back to school tmrw for the kids so it's back into routine and school lunches...

My husband has been in Canada since January for work. He's only able to come home 1 weekend a month, and this weekend is it. So far we've just hung around, done some errands. He has to go back tomorrow evening :( We left the kids home tonight, and had a dinner date. Tomorrow our daughter has her weekly horse riding lesson, and I have about 8 bags of stuff to drop off for donation.

We really know how to party around here...lol

Something very exciting happened today. Some background: my son's last dance show was June, 2015. Then he started feeling shy about being a boy dancer, he's 8. He turned into a different kid & his self esteem was just gone. Recently, the son of my old dance teacher won a contest on Good Morning America. See here: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/meet-gma-musically-challenge-contest-finalists/story?id=39900134
Brody was suddenly inspired. He needed to dance. This week the studio had an open house with free classes. We went to kids hip hop taught by that same 17yr old. Brody's only ever done tap & ballet, so this was all new. But he got out there & tried. They asked him how he felt after class & he committed right away. I can't tell you how excited I am to see him out there again. I danced at that studio for over 20 years. I started when I was 8. They welcomed us in like family & it all felt very good to be home.
Tomorrow we're going to Six Flags. The kids don't know I bought season passes. They'll be very surprised.

I went to Pinner's Conference! I met Becky Higgins, and then Tangie Baxter! Totally fan girled... probably scared her into thinking I was a stalker... bahahahaha. Today, I took my daughter with me, and we did Tangie's Junque Journal class. So fun :)
Anywho... I'm tired after two long days of classes, walking, and shopping. Tomorrow will be chill... we might try (again) to go see a firetruck for my son (it had to leave before we arrived at last weekend's attempt)
And I am hoping to scrap with some BYOC! :)

Rain rain rain...so much rain that our sump pump failed and we had the decision to do a bandaid repair or get serious about trying to waterproof our cellar (1910 dirt floor cellar...) and get it dug out. I hate to think of the cost but we've done too many bandaids on this issue. I see $$$---> flying away!

But on the happy note, our Jotul is back on so there's a nice warmth taking away the damp chill and I'm off to get a haircut. I was almost tempted to book a coloring (red!) but then remember how fast the 'your roots are showing' stage arrives on my hair. Otherwise, it's making layouts AND uploading to Persnickety for a big order. I just got more credits during their DSD sale. Yay!

Since this weekend is our Thanksgiving, we're having a big traditional family dinner tomorrow (Monday). Other than church, the kids each had friends sleep over on Friday night, and my oldest had a bunch of his friends over yesterday. DH and I worked a concession for football. Oh, and we have snow this weekend. Lots of it!

@HeatherB I've just finished another Inspector Gamache mystery (auto correct makes me smile when it makes him "Ganache") and there is much to do about snow, whiteouts, curling etc. Brrr! I think I would like a weekend or so of it and then say...Enough!

@cookingmylife Maureen -- we have another 5 months to go! Although I do expect that the snow will melt and we'll have a few more good days in October.

We spent Saturday morning running last minute errands, then went to a Banquet Saturday night, today we went to church and then went on a hike & soaked in some beautiful WNC Mountain views, tonight we played lots of family games together and snuggled with our kids. Our last day together as a family of 7.

We had no plans ... we usually have the grandbabies (Harper is 3 and Greyson is 1) every other weekend (we've done that since Harper was a baby and her daddy and mommy worked weekends ...) - but Harper is sick and Greyson is teething, so they stayed home this weekend - so we relaxed - seriously - relaxed! I even took a 2 hour nap today - I suppose that will bite me in the backside tonight when I try to sleep! LOL!
