Thanksgiving is Thursday, right before Black Friday so it's next weekend. This weekend....I'll be doing

I reckon I will be meal planning and grocery shopping for Thanksgiving. I have to work Monday and Tuesday, and we're having dinner Wednesday, so no real prep time. I need to get as much done this weekend as I can.

Other than that, I have some scrapping to do and probably a nap :)

Tonight, Olivia and I had our Happy Planner planning session at the dining room table. We usually do it on Sundays, but we're going to put our decorations out this weekend and that usually involves the table being covered in all kinds of decorations (fall being put away and Christmas coming out) and it usually takes me days to get all the decorating done. Anyway, tomorrow is putting up the tree and other decorations.

Next week, Daniel is out of school for fall break. Monday and Tuesday are work days, but Wednesday is PIE DAY, where my sister and I go to my mom's house and make pecan, pumpkin, and apple pies. We alternate holidays between my mom and Jay's mom, and this is my MIL's year. Usually PIE DAY includes turkey brining and ham cutting, and several other prep tasks . . . but my mom is going to my sister's on Thanksgiving Day this year, so I'm not sure how big of a meal they are going to prepare.

Friday I'll do some Black Friday shopping ONLINE ONLY LOL . . . and then Saturday we'll help my mom put up her Christmas decorations.

This is definitely the start of the busy time of year!

We're at our trailer in WA for a few days so we can close it up for the winter. Hubs and I will do some cleanup, then go into town tomorrow and do some shopping and then at dinnertime my daughter will meet up with me and we'll go shopping together for a few hrs. Then back to the trailer to watch a movie. Sunday morning we'll close down the trailer and head home. I think the wkend is going to fly by.

Couldn’t have said it much better honestly. Did an online grocery shop yesterday so I’m set for the weekend. At this stage my plans are apply for a ton of jobs (got 7 in total between now and December 9th with 6 due this coming week - 4 are the same job just in different locations) and hopefully do some scrapping.

I did most of my grocery shopping today (Costco was a ZOO!!!) to get stuff for Thanksgiving (next Thursday!) I'm ITCHING to get out holiday stuff, but since we're hosting (just grandma) I'm trying to stick to my guns about not decorating until Thanksgiving night. ;)

My next week at a glance:

Saturday: 8u Mite hockey game for my son, Spokane Chiefs Hockey game for our billet player (we will also go to the game!)

Sunday: Hubby's work holiday party (dinner at a steakhouse!) I might get the tree brought up from the basement into the garage to blow off all the drywall dust it's accumulated since we finished our basement early this year.

Monday: Volunteer at son's bookfair; Clean house & laundry; some food prep; Son has hockey practice

Tuesday: Work day, daughter has volleyball

Wednesday: Serious food prep (bake pies, make cranberry sauce, prepare veggies); Daughter has pitching academy, son has hockey practice

Thursday: Tday! ;) I'll go shopping at Michael's & Kohls in the evening

Friday: Black Friday Baby! I'm hard core- up & at it early!!! And get out holiday decorations! Oh yeah, Our elf comes back... dang him... ;) I've gotta get his advent cards finished & printed asap!

Hmmm...weekend plans. I would love to scrap but we will see if Photoshop plays nice. Thinking about going back to my desktop for scrapping. I just hate the idea of being tied to my desk in my office again. Currently, it is 6:15 am Saturday and I am just sitting in my recliner snuggling with a dog and listening to some music while I catch up on email and download some purchases from the LilyPad. It is cold here in PA so this looks like a good place to spend my day. I guess I should probably do some laundry and the dishes right?

Today I'm taking my laptop and going to a crop at my friend's scrapbook store. Tomorrow will be cleaning and cooking. We're having my son, his fiancee, and her parents over for dinner Sunday evening.

Well... today my daughter has a cheer competition, while my son has flag football. I will be going to one, while hubby goes to the other.

When i get home from the cheer competition, i then have to take my son to a classmate's birthday party.

Tomorrow, i have to drop my daughter off at a friend's for playdate, then log in to work for a couple hours for an enhancement they are implementing. My husband is taking a "mental health day" (he is taking a break from kids and his schoolwork and work to do something on his own - usually mountain biking or something), so it will just be me and my son for a few hours... he has enough energy to run a marathon about three times in a row, so... I'm sure it's going to be a long day. :giggle

Football is on the schedule today. Watching Ohio State and Penn State from the comfort of my warm home at noon. After it is over I'll find another game to watch. I love college football.

Other than that, not a thing going on at all. I do grocery shopping during the week to avoid the crowds on weekends. Laundry can wait a few more days. I've been scrapping a couple pages every night so maybe I'll try to knock out some more this weekend.

The very few Christmas decorations I put out will go up on Thursday. That is my new Thanksgiving Day tradition. Then I'll check out black friday deals online to see if there is anything I want.

Got my car inspected and nails done today. Tonight we are doing a week overdue birthday dinner for my youngest son. Now that he's an adult and he and his friends have jobs, it's hard to find a date that works. He chose a sushi restaurant.

I've finalized the menu and later tonight (intentionally late), I'm going to the grocery store to get my Thanksgiving goods. This year I chose to buy a fresh turkey from a local butcher. Literally, my turkey is still alive today! I pick him up on Wednesday morning.

Tomorrow I'll work on cleaning and some light prepping for the week. And scrapping . . . I'm so into DYD. Am I the only one that wants to cheat and stage some photos now so I can finish a layout or two?!!

Today (Saturday) was early Thanksgiving and birthday party for my dad day. My brother and family met us at my parent's house about 35 minutes from here. Tomorrow my dad turns 81.

Sunday is crazy busy with church, taking the daughter back to college, and me working 5 hours in the evening at the Chinese Lantern Festival. I am fundraising for our GS trip Down Under in July 2020. If all goes well, dd will be joining me in this work adventure over the next several weeks. I have no idea what I am doing but maybe working concessions?

Monday - pick up college student for her Thanksgiving break - copy more files to new laptop and install PS CC?

Tuesday & Wednesday - scrap and unexciting things like clean the house

Thursday - Turkey Day with husband's cousins at their house 2+ hours away. We are taking fruity drinks so no prep :).

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - put up the Christmas decorations and take the college girl back for last classes and finals. I avoid the shopping unless I do some online.

Quiet weekend here...but I'm getting professional Christmas photos of my son today so I'm excited! I was able to have a bit of "me" time yesterday to do some art journaling. For some reason I am feeling really motivated this Christmas season to do more art and scrapbooking (hence why I am back in this forum now! :giggle)

a busy weekend for us. All 3 toucanettes and their children's orchestra had a workshop day with members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra yesterday. We had spent the evening with my parents, who made dinner for us. Hubby and children had a nativity play rehearsal after church today. This afternoon is going to be a finishing of small projects and getting ready for school etc etc.

Well... the weekend is over now, but I spent the whole weekend scrapping with a friend at my house. It was SOOO relaxing and wonderful. Now I have to kick it into gear and start planning a menu for Thanksgiving on Thursday. Blah!

We had a really busy weekend. I had lots of errands to run Saturday + things to do to clean out my grandfather's apartment and prepare for his funeral mass.

I usually have Mondays off but I worked yesterday so I could have Friday off (and still get paid for it). My grandfather's funeral mass is tomorrow afternoon, and I'll be reading a passage of Scripture during it. I've had an off-and-on sore throat the last 24 hours so I'm trying to guzzle cold medicine to nip that in the bud. My body still does not like my new medication (Metformin) so I will probably end up calling the doctor next week to see what we can do about that. Thanksgiving is at my sister's Thursday, and then I plan on chilling out Friday before we launch into Christmas prep. I bought my daughter & I matching unicorn onesies (and my son a dinosaur onesie) from The Children's Place that I fully intend on us wearing all day long sometime this weekend and watching Disney+. We usually decorate my parents' house for Christmas over the long weekend so we'll see when we end up doing that.
