We have bigger than usual weekend plans. Tonight we are going to dinner and then the Jazz/Lakers playoff game for date night. DH has been wanting to go to a game all season, but we just haven't had the time. We used to get season tickets, but the kids' extracurricular activities took over a few years ago. I'm not much of a sports fan lately, but finally caved in and let him get upper bowl tickets for us to go to the game tonight. He's over the moon excited! It's a late start game so we'll be out really late and I'm not one to stay up late often, but he said he would cover the early morning kids' soccer games and yard work, so it's a win/win for both of us!

I'm supposed to go to a baby shower tomorrow morning . . . it's 2.5 hours away. We just went there (Dothan, AL) on Wednesday because my close family friend/adopted brother is in ICU (it's his daughter that's supposed to have the shower). So anyway, the shower might be canceled, but I will likely go back anyway to check on Ken and his parents. I'm really close with both of them.

Sunday will likely be a recovery day for me after traveling Saturday. That's what happened yesterday, except for work I absolutely had to do yesterday, I was sleeping and/or resting.

Today is catch up on laundry (since I was away Wednesday and out of it yesterday). I've already wiped down the back bathroom and I need to do the front bathroom. I'm hoping I can work in a bit of dusting because I've let it get so awful. I'm designing templates and I want to take a break to do some scrapping in between. It helps with my creativity to do that.

ANYWAY, I typed all that to say I wasn't doing much. bwahahahahaha

Sounds like you're doing A LOT! I hope you're able to get some scrappin in... that always helps me too. I just put a load in the washer and I'm hoping to get another one done before kids get home and my day goes berserk. I need to dust too, but it'll probably still be here tomorrow and next week too... hehe I always put in at the bottom of the list and hope I can talk one of the kids into doing it.

Why is that I always put it at the bottom of the list and procrastinate? I love everything freshly dusted and it does help with our allergies to get it all wiped up and out of the house. I just don't wanna!!!!

We actually don't have anything on the schedule. Yippee! But that doesn't mean we won't be busy. There's always yard work to do & odd jobs. Plus my hubby has to work both tonight and tomorrow night which means I'm on extra parenting duty (he helps out a lot when he gets off work in the evening). My MIL is also coming next weekend and staying for 2 weeks!!! So there's some deep cleaning stuff I want to do over the weekend. Next week is craziness so I want to take the weekend to get some of those things done that I need to before she arrives.

Tomorrow is opening day for baseball for us. We have to be there at 9 for pictures, 10 is our first game, and 12 is opening ceremonies. I'm really glad we have an early game. I don't like it when we have to be there at 12 for the ceremonies and then go back later in the afternoon, plus it's supposed to be about 90 tomorrow but at 10 it's going to be a perfect 75. After that, there's a house to clean up and yard work to do. Other than that, I'm planning to scrap as much as I possibly can :)

My eldest daughter and partner's daughter are home for the weekend so there will be a lot of giggling from the girls. Nothing planned so just taking it easy. After the last few weeks of chaos I am so looking forward to a break.

I've had a very domestic Saturday so far.
Visiting the parents, groceries, I actually washed my car (like what?! I never!), now handling some financial tasks like filing my taxes, quitting the gym membership that I haven't been to for months and trying to get a mortgages. I plan on buying a house and moving next year. (I'm a teacher, so I'm talking school years) I need to know my budget first though..
Tomorrow will be watching Netflix, scrapping and maybe prepping some school work. I really should. Anyway.

Nothing big and exciting but more then I sometimes do on the weekends! lol

I've got tax stuff and desk work to do over the wkend so I'll fit in a bit of scrapping/CT work during a few breaks but I will mostly be working today and tomorrow. Tonight will be movie night. Not sure what we'll watch, maybe Lion, Fantastic Beasts or Patriots Day. I'll be making a new casserole for dinner (need something different) and want to try a cake in a mug recipe for a snack tonight as we watch our movie.

I'm off to the library book sale with my mom in a bit, not that I need any more books! Later today, we're either going for a walk or going to the driving range. If there's extra time, we still have a ton of weeding to do in the yard. Tomorrow, more weeding, maybe some scrapping then out to dinner for a birthday celebration with the family.

Weekends are always crazy for me. DD has skating practice for a few hours, then it's shuttling the kids around where they need to be. My DH is out at yet another scout campout - he averages 2-3 per month. Sunday is church, then more skating activities. I really don't ever get a break.

Well I wore myself out yesterday shopping. I had planned to do it in the a.m. but fell down a rabbit hole with some design blogs (ideas for offices/studios). So it was just after no lunch, I was off to get diesel, pick up my Detention Center badge, Costco, Walmart, Aldi... and collapse in my packed car with a lousy bottled 'non iced' ice coffee.
:funfun
By then it was rush hour with the Baltimore traffic into Annapolis incl the first week of beach traffic. The start of our hot humid weekend had begun. They say 99% humidity which I call 'sultry'. After eating some of the Costco chicken, I was exhausted but needed to get all my Walmart plants out of the car. Ditto all the food shopping. Today my dh flies home from his week in AZ tonight and after having breakfast with my friends, it was home to tidy up and watch some tv & read. I may plant some of my flowers when the sun goes down...and catch the golden hour before some more tv and reading. The laundry is doing its job and I'll fold and sort tonight. Tomorrow will be more of the garden and inside with the a/c!

I believe I need a stronger deodorant!

Yard work-----and more yard work----and yet more yard work!!! To be continued tomorrow!!! An unusually nice weekend for April, which is usually still pretty chilly up where I live, so I took advantage of it! Still too early to put plants out, which are happily nestled safely in their starter boxes in the house. But I am getting the ground ready; raking up all the yuck left from winter snows, cleaning up around all the perinials that are already peeking their heads up through the ground, etc etc etc. Oh, a birthday party tomorrow for great grandson, Charlie who will be 8. Wow, where do the years go? But that is only a couple hours, so still will be able to get yard work done. Cleaning? yeah, that is saved for the rainy cold days when I can't get outside!!

i went to the mall and went clothes shopping. not fun.
now i'm trying to tie up lots of lose ends.
planning next week out.

We're still trying to get everything out of the garage at the old house and over to the new one. It feels like our stuff magically multiplies at night when we're not there LOL!

We wanted to hit IKEA today, but I don't think we'll have time since it's an hour drive to get there and my FIL is coming over to help us hang up my bat cave (blackout curtains) and swap out the light fixture in the kitchen because we don't care for canned track lights.

This was one of our last crazy busy weekends- the overlap of sports for both kiddos is killing us! We had our kids' school family dance on Friday evening (so fun actually!) Our daughter's LAST soccer game, son's soccer game, MIL's birthday dinner and started on our raised garden beds all on Saturday. Today- we took MIL to breakfast for her bday, hubby mowed the yard, I did some flowerbed weeding & cleanup, we finished our raised beds (just have to plant the kids' seeds when they get home) & now hubby & son are at his baseball practice! I'm sitting down for a few mins to catch up! I need a weekend from my weekends! ;)

i wish it were still the weekend here... this week is not looking pretty; can't wait for iNSD next weekend though!

Saturday was my son's 4th birthday, and he was quite rowdy all day. I did party prep for today... which was the kids' joint party (my daughter turned 5 earlier in the month). Today was exhausting... even though the party was only 2 hours. I ate way too many cupcakes, and didn't drink enough water - tomorrow's run is going to be more difficult than I'd like.
