Have you checked out the style section of The Lilypad?

I use shadow styles on pretty much every layout. I have a bunch of shadow styles that I love to pick from:
Mommyish Realistic Shadow Styles and #206 for CC
Sahin Designs Style No. 8: Realistic Shadows and No 5
Fiddle Dee Dee Shadows {Dressed Up}
One Little Bird Shadow Like Me
Sahlin Studio Realistic Drop Shadows

Shadows are a tiny part of the shadow category. There are so many fun styles to play with that will do everything from changing your paper texture to giving a watercolor effect to giving a stamp effect to creating wood effects or glitter.

Styles can change the look of your title or an element. I played around with 8 different styles to show you what I mean. Maybe one will inspire you for your next page!

1) Sahin Designs Letterpress. This is an easy way to get that letterpress, or typewriter type look.
2) Sahin Designs Vellum Style. This style comes with a shadow and non-shadow option. It's a bit hard to see on this background paper, but the vellum lets you see the pattern underneath the letters.
3) Mommyish Thick Paint. I love using this style on paint. It creates the brushstrokes and makes it look more painted.
4) Sahin Designs Web Style. I used this one to create a shape and fill in each piece with a different color. It also works great for a spooky or bug title.
5) Mommyish Stylin' 321 | Plastic Edged Stickers This style makes the title look a bit taller and also gives it a clear sticker edge. It's a great style to help a title stand out on a pattern paper.
6) Mommyish August 2016 BYOC Style Chipboard Grid. I've used this for plain paper to create a journal card before also. As a BYOC style, it comes with all the colors for the grid that match the August 2016 BYOC.
7) Sahin Designs Mosaic Style. Minecraft anyone? I love the way you can use any color with this too. Think of fun photo mosaic pages and a mosaic title.
8) Paula Kesselring Outside Cut Styles #1. This style creates the look of a cut-out paper. It has a shadow on all the sides to give the cutout look.

This is the start of all the styles above. Chuck Five Font. I love looking at how much each style changes the title and gives it a different feel!

Have fun playing with styles this week!

This is a great article you've written on styles! I kind of forget about using them... thanks for bringing them to my attention again!

I LOVE styles and use them on every page. Aside from shadow styles I use a lot of stamp styles because I love the look of stamping on a page.

I love the effects others get from styles but I'm a bit intimidated by them. I do have 2 or 3 that I used regularly and have purchased some on sale that I have yet to even load!
