Welcome to October's Muse Challenge which is all about LIGHT. Each week we will look at the different 'types' of LIGHT that make up a full day (48hrs). Accordingly each week it will be broken into: WEEK 1 - MORNING Light WEEK 2 - AFTERNOON Light WEEK 3 - EVENING Light WEEK 4 - NIGHT Light Each week we will delve into how the light at different times of the day (and season) affects us and how we feel about it. What is your favorite time of the day? WEEK 1: MORNING Light Morning light can be so very different from the soft dreaming light coming in through the window, the golden light when the sun bursts into life over the horizon or that grey light of rainy morning. What emotions or feelings does it trigger? Of course the morning light in different seasons will also affect many people in different ways, which one is your fave? I must admit that I am not a morning person. Now that I am retired I miss out on a lot of early morning light, getting up late as I have stayed up far too long the night before! When the kids were young I had to get up early to look after them and as they grew older to get them ready for school etc. Getting up early to go to work was such a pain as well, but when I actually got out into the morning light itself it did feel good, especially when it was nice and sunny! Challenge for Week 1: Scrap a page about how the different types of morning light affect you or what the morning means for you in terms of routine or just scrap a page about mornings in general. See below for some prompts/ideas to get you started: Are you a morning person? Do you like to be up early to see the sun rise? Do you have a morning routine of sorts like doing some form of exercise like walking, jogging or yoga etc.? Or do you prefer to sit and read the newspaper or a magazine while you have your morning drink of coffee or tea? Maybe your mornings are full on with getting kids to school and getting ready yourself for work so it's rushed and hectic? Inspiration Board: I have included an inspiration board with images from Pinterest below so take a look and see if one of the images sparks your creativity. As always, the images are just to view and not to use, you will find plenty of stock photos that are copyright free if you need one. Note: I am more that person at the bottom of the board and to the right! My page: Many years ago we used to live on a property located on Wombat Creek Road. Every now and then I get all sentimental when I remember what I loved about the place. Getting up on a cold frosty morning for work was not fun, but after getting ready for work I would have to drive down to the main gate, opening and closing two gates before reaching it. I can still feel the cold icy frost on the chain as I opened those two gates! Reaching the main gate I looked back towards where I had come from from and it was always a delight to just stand there and look at the glorious countryside around me and see the sun peeking over the mountain. The morning light was just so magical! I always wished that I could just stay there for awhile, and each time I would have to force myself to get back in the car to drive work, 40 minutes away. Now I am retired but every once in a while I miss those days. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Challenge Rules Please refer to the challenge rules under the pink heading above on what you need to do this week. Hahaha... that's definitely a challenge for me since I'm not a morning person. But your inspiration pics are gorgeous and really inspiring.
I am doing a 4 Template too this time. I am hoping you can see that the sun is rising, high noon and setting and nighttime. Thanks for hosting Ona!
I love that I'm not the only "not a morning person" but I have to admit that morning light is beautiful
